Anne Barkman resides in Steinbach and has a niche practice consisting of Ontario real estate and small/mid-size corporate consultation. Anne combines her past experience as HyLife's General Counsel and large law firm corporate practice to help local business owners understand the law and to apply it to their business in an effective and cost-efficient manner.
Called to the bar in 2001, Anne has practiced corporate and anti-trust law at Blake Cassels & Graydon LLP (Toronto) and Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP (Winnipeg). Anne spent one year working for the Competition Bureau of Canada investigating anti-trust behavior and nine years as General Counsel for the HyLife group.

Justin graduated from The School of Law at the University Of Leicester, United Kingdom. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts - Advanced from the University of Manitoba, studying Politics and Religion.
While in Law School, Justin competed in various Moot Court, Debate, and Negotiation Tournaments. He had the opportunity to represent the School of Law at the Annual Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn Moot Court and Dinner in London and also at the Honourable Society of the Inner-Temple's Inter-Varsity Mooting Competition.
Justin has experience before the Small Claims Court of Manitoba and The Court of Queen's Bench of Manitoba in various capacities.
He has further experience dealing with Adjudication under the Canada Labour Code, the Licence Suspension Appeal Board of Manitoba, the Residential Tenancies Branch and the Residential Tenancies Commission.
Outside of litigious work, Justin assists clients in both Residential and Commercial Real Estate transactions, preparing their Wills and administering their estates, and in uncontested Family Law matters primarily comprised of uncontested Divorces, Pre-Nuptial Agreements, Co-habitation/Marriage Agreements, and Separation Agreements.

Steve graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1999, where he was the recipient of the Kimberley Dawn Gusto Award for Children and the Law, The J.A. Johnson award for Advanced Family Law, and was a finalist in the Solomon Greenberg Advocacy Competition. He was called to the bar in 2000.
Steve practices primarily in the areas of Family, Labour, and Criminal Law litigation. He is also a regular Learning Group Facilitator for the Law Society, helping articling students achieve their call to the bar.
Steve and his wife Erin, and cats, Peanut and Ricky enjoy their life in the country, where Steve gets to play on his John Deere every weekend.

Terry Loewen graduated with a B.A in 1982, and he obtained his law degree in 1985, both at the University of Manitoba. He practiced law first in Winnipeg, with an emphasis on labor and employment law, and then returned to practice in Steinbach in 1988. He practiced with the late Delbert Plett for 10 years, before becoming a founding partner of the present firm, Loewen Henderson Banman Legault LLP.
