Andrew P. Loucks

Born and raised in Chesley, Ontario, Andrew obtained a B.A. in History from Queen's University, after having completed his first year at the Bader International Study Centre at Herstmonceaux Castle, U.K. He then attended Grey College, Durham University, U.K. where he completed a LL.B. (Hons). Thereafter Andrew completed a Masters in Law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School. After completing his education, Andrew articled in downtown Toronto with criminal defence lawyers Courtney Keystone and Steven Dallal. At Queen's University, Andrew was an active member of the Queen's Bands as a bagpiper. While in law school at Grey College, Durham University, Andrew was an avid rower. In his final year at Durham Law School, Andrew had his dissertation published in the Durham University Feminist Journal and presented it at their annual conference. Andrew is an active member of the local legal community. He is currently the president of the Bruce Law Association, and an active member of the Criminal Lawyers Association, roles which have increased substantially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Outside of law, Andrew is an active member with the Chesley Kinsmen Club, Chesley Legion Branch #144, Chesley Curling Club, and continues to peruse his interest in bagpipe music.

Emma Forbes

Emma practices in the areas of Family, Real Estate, Wills and Estates. Emma graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2018, with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies and a double minor in History and Sociology. In 2021, she graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Windsor, Ontario. Emma became an associate at our law firm upon the completion of her Articles and Call to the Bar in 2022. Emma and her husband Connor reside on the Bruce Peninsula and enjoy spending time boating, cross-country skiing and visiting their family's nearby cattle farms. Emma is dedicated to providing personable and prompt legal services in the beautiful Grey/Bruce area she grew up in.

Jessica Smale

Jessica is our office manager. She was born and raised outside of Formosa and attended elementary and high school locally. Jessica joined the firm in 2006 after graduating the law clerk program at Fanshawe college. Jessica and her husband live in Walkerton. She enjoys hikes, spending time with her family and baking.

Kathy Walsh

Kathy Walsh is our office manager. Born and raised in Bentick Township, Kathy attended Lamlash Public School and Hanover District High School. Thereafter, Kathy worked as a secretary to the vice principle at Hanover District High School. In 1969, Kathy joined the firm. At this time, it was simply known as George C. Loucks law office - with one lawyer and one other secretary. Since that time, she has seen the firm grow and change substantially, recalling the firm getting its first fax machine and seeing the firm grow to three lawyers and 10 support staff. Kathy and her husband moved to Chesley in 1976, and have since that time been active members of our community. She has been active in Chesley Minor Hockey, Chesley Minor Ball, Chesley Figure Skating Club, the Kinette Club of Chesley, and the St. Anne's Catholic Women's League. In addition to being involved in the community, Kathy enjoys spending time with her family and two young grandchildren, in particular at their sports and school activities. She and her husband also enjoy travelling, and often ‘escape' our winters to holiday in Florida. Kathy has been with Loucks & Loucks longer than anyone else at the firm, and is a great asset to our team.

Peter E. Loucks

Peter practices in the areas of Corporate and Commercial Law, Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Agricultural Real Estate, Mortgages including enforcement by Power of Sale and Foreclosure Proceedings, Wills and Trust, Estate Administration, Succession Planning, Commercial and Estate Litigation as well as Litigation involving possessory title and right-of-way claims. He also appears before the Ontario Municipal Board on zoning matters. Peter and his wife, Ruth, live in Chesley and have five children. In his spare time, Peter is a model-train enthusiast, collect coins, stamps and military medals. In addition, Peter enjoys visiting his children, two of whom reside abroad, one in the United Kingdom and another in the Torres Straits Islands of the northern coast of Australia.

Spencer Ralston

Spencer Ralston practices in the areas of Real Estate, Corporate/Commercial, Wills and Estates, Family, and Civil Litigation. Spencer graduated from the University of Guelph, with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Public Policy and a minor in Political Science. Spencer attended law school in Ottawa where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Ottawa. After law school, Spencer articled at Loucks & Loucks and became an associate with our firm after his Call to the Bar. Spencer is an avid golfer who enjoys playing golf in the Grey Bruce area with friends and family. Spencer also enjoys reading, hiking, and swimming.

Tetyana Ivanina

Tetyana grew up in Ukraine. She graduated from the University of Toronto in 2012, with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Criminology and a Minor degree in German Studies. In 2015, Tetyana graduated with her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Western Ontario. She started articling as a law student at Loucks & Loucks in 2016 after completing the Law Practice Program at Ryerson University. Tetyana became an associate at our law firm after her Call to the Bar in 2016. In her spare time, Tetyana enjoys hiking, fishing, reading about health and nutrition, running, or testing out a new international cuisine recipe. During the winter months, Tetyana is an active member of the Chesley Curling Club.
