CHARLIE BEDNAR

Charlie is a Southern California native, born in Pasadena. He grew up as an avid aviator and determined that this would be his career choice from a very young age. From attending as many air shows as possible as a young boy to demanding the window seat on every family vacation, Charlie's passion for flying has always been a part of who he is. He started flying gliders in Antelope Valley with his grandfather at 14 and made the decision to become a Flight Instructor and pursue his goal of becoming an airline pilot. Always seeking a thrill in riding motocross, snow skiing, playing Division I sports in high school, and adventuring across the world he knew that flying planes for a living was the right choice. He attended ATP flight school and is a Commercial Multi-Engine rated flight instructor with a CFII. His diligence and hard work paid off, finishing the program in an astonishing 8 months with 0 check ride fails.

Jason founded Mach 1 Aviation in 2007 with a single goal - to offer flight instruction founded on a solid understanding of the fundamentals. With a belief that simplicity helps fortify understanding, Jason established Mach 1 Aviation as a Platinum Cirrus Training Center and began growing the flight school as a thought leader at the Van Nuys airport. As a Platinum Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot with thousands of hours of flight instruction under his belt, he is one of the primary voices in flight training in the California aviation community. He works tirelessly with others to deliver on safety in aviation, consistently working to drive improvements and growth for all involved. When he's not teaching, Jason is a loving dad, caring mentor, and an airline pilot flying the Embraer 175. Jason is also a community pillar. He is currently chair of the Van Nuys Citizens Advisory Council, board member on the Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association Board of Directors, a Cirrus Pilot Proficiency Program instructor pilot for COPA University, and a former president of the Van Nuys Propeller Aircraft Association.

JAZMINE CAMPAS

Jazmine is a Tucson native and a University of Arizona graduate. She spent two years working in Germany and Australia before coming back to the states and starting her aviation career in 2020. Jazmine earned her private pilot's certificate in 2021 and made the decision to continue her training at ATP Flight School and completed the program in less than 6 months and passed all 8 of her checkrides on the first attempt. Jazmine is a Multi-Engine rated Commercial pilot and CFI, CFII, and MEI.

JONATHAN ABARCA

Jonathan is from Charlotte North Carolina. A graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University he successfully obtained his Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Science. Jonathan is also a first officer on a King Air 90. When he's not flying, jonathan is passionate about the world of motorsport and watches.
