Charl Grobbelaar completed his high school career at Klerksdorp High School. He enrolled at the Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education (now North West University) and completed his Baccalaureus Artium et Scientiae (Planning) degree during 1977. Charl was one of the founding members of Metroplan Town and Regional Planners and served as Director since 1988. He was elected as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Maxim Planning Solutions (Pty) Ltd in 2008. Before he joined Metroplan Town and Regional Planners in 1988, Charl worked as a senior Town Planner at the Transvaal Provincial Administration, and he was Chief Town Planner at the Klerksdorp Municipality between 1984 and 1987. He is a member of the South African Planning Institute (SAPI), the South African Council for Planners (SACPLAN), the Association for Consulting Town and Regional Planners (ACTRP) and the South African Institute for Housing.

DR. DAWIE BOS - CEO

After obtaining his Baccalaureus Artium et Scientiae (Planning) degree during 1980, he subsequently obtained his Masters Degree in 1987 (Cum Laude) and D. Phil. (Planning) in 1991. Dr. Bos joined Maxim Planning Solutions (Pty) Ltd in 1999 as Director and is overseeing operations at the Rustenburg office of Maxim Planning Solutions (Pty) Ltd. Before joining Maxim Planning Solutions, Dawie was employed by the North West University for 15 years as senior lecturer and associate professor. He was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Maxim Planning Solutions (Pty) Ltd in August 2018. He was awarded the position, in 2019, as an extraordinary professor by the North West University.

Koot was elected as a Director in 2007 and took on the responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer in 2009. He was employed by Metroplan Town and Regional Planners from 1992 to 2002 and also served on the Board of Directors of Metroplan Town and Regional Planners from 1998.
