We are the oldest pub in Temple Bar and wanted to move into the future with a strong sense of our historic standing as a real local pub in Temple Bar even before it was Temple Bar as you know it!... The Norseman building as a watering hole dates back to the 1500's when it was known as the Wooden Man Tavern due to a wooden Viking figure on the corner of the street.
