In the early 1980s we first started at the old Holsworthy Army base racing on what is now the suburb of Wattle Grove, at that time we would race on a bitumen paved surface and set the track up for each race meeting... In the mid-1980s we were moved to the Cross Roads Hotel and operated in the back carpark for a little over 10 years before the site was resumed for a shopping complex.
