Aaron Kahle, Ridgefield's Director of Land & Legal and General Counsel, has more than 13 years of experience as an oil and gas title attorney in Texas. Aaron's focus is primarily dedicated to managing all land and legal matters pertaining to the company's existing portfolio and supervising the process for potential acquisitions.
Prior to joining Ridgefield, Aaron was the Vice President of Land & Legal and General Counsel for a boutique oil and gas company, where he supervised the acquisition of oil and gas interests in competitive oil and gas plays and negotiated agreements and/or sales with both operators and non-operators. Throughout his career, Aaron has maintained an independent law practice, specializing in oil and gas title examination.
Aaron graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Government in 1999 and received his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2004.
Monique De La Torre, Ridgefield's Controller, has more than 10 years of combined public and industry accounting experience. Hired soon after Ridgefield's formation, Monique planned, implemented and developed all of Ridgefield's accounting policies, procedures, internal controls and oil and gas software. Prior to joining Ridgefield, Monique was a Senior Accounting Associate at UHY Advisors where she was responsible for financial statement compilations, reviews and full-cycle accounting for a diverse clientele that included small businesses, physicians, attorneys and non-profit organizations.
Monique's past industry accounting roles focused on corporate accounting and financial reporting at Invesco and Total Petrochemicals & Refining USA. Her responsibilities have included full-cycle accounting for multiple entities, international financial consolidations, and corporate budgeting and expense allocations.
Monique earned a B.B.A in Accounting from the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston.
Stephen Yerkovich leads business development efforts at Ridgefield. His current role is dedicated to evaluating potential acquisitions while also managing the integration of acquisitions into the existing portfolio. During Stephen's time at Ridgefield, he has provided valuation and research support for multiple transactions. Stephen's land expertise derives from his time working in the field as a Landman in the Eagle Ford Shale.
Stephen received an MBA with a concentration in Energy Finance from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and a B.A. from the University of the South.
Steve Kerrigan is the CEO of Ridgefield. Steve has 11 years of combined experience in energy derivatives trading and portfolio management of unconventional oil and gas assets. Prior to forming Ridgefield with Aaron Kahle, Steve led the effort to evaluate and negotiate oil and gas deals for a family office in Houston, Texas.
Steve began his career in UBS Investment Bank's Energy Volatility Trading Group as a natural gas/power derivatives trader. In 2009, UBS sold its Energy Trading Group to Scotia Capital, where Steve accepted a role as Director and helped to develop the energy trading group while managing a natural gas derivatives book.
He earned a B.A. and M.A. from Johns Hopkins University, Phi Beta Kappa, with a focus on International Economics and Latin America.
