Brian Linden - Chairman, Founder

Brian is a founder partner of the Private Equity firm Cinven which he joined in 1985. He has been involved in transactions including Aprovia, Dynacast, Gardner Merchant, IPC, MediMedia, NCP, Springer, Truvo and Ziggo. Brian continues as a Board Director of the managing entities of the Cinven Funds. Before establishing 2nd Chance, Brian had been involved in a number of charities and taught maths at Kid's Company's Urban Academy in Southwark where his experience of teaching young people who are striving to achieve academic qualifications and a position in the workplace encouraged him to set out the blueprint for 2nd Chance. Brian is also the Chairman for Student Cribs

Charlie Vaughan-Lee

Charlie is a Successful Entreperneur, Charlie founded Student Cribs in 2003 whilst studying at Bristol. Charlie has worked alongside Charlie Philip in developing the business over the past 5 years, including the successful launch of the first Student Crib Fund. His other business interest is in London Bio Packaging, where he's been a Director for 4 years. Charlie is well known in the quiet streets surrounding the office for his very loud motorbike.

Michael Started off as a trainee at 2nd Chance, into the trainee course Michael started a place ment at Student Cribs where he met Charlie. Charlie then gave him the idea of a Coffee Cart Business. Months later Michael met up with Charlie and they made it reality, n w Michael is the first employee of Street Coffee.

Nick Tolley

Nick first started in coffee some ten years ago when he and his siblings (Andrew and Laura) launched one of London's first speciality coffee businesses, Taylor St Baristas, in 2006. Taylor St today boasts 9 cafes in and around the City of London and continues to blaze a trail in the UK's quality coffee sector with its world class barista training program and innovative store designs. In 2012, Nick (and Taylor St) worked with Tesco to launch a more mainstream speciality coffee business called Harris + Hoole. This business grew quickly, opening over 50 shops in some 3 years, and today is one of the largest speciality coffeebusinesses in the world. Nick left Harris + Hoole in 2015 to refocus his attention on Taylor St, which, in 2016, is scheduled to open both its first store abroad (in New York City) as well as a coffee roasting business back in London. Prior to coffee, Nick worked as a management consultant in Sydney. He has a BA/BEc from the Australian National University and an MBA from INSEAD.
