Tamar Lake Inc, a not for profit incorporated association was formed, with Robin Frith as President, to demonstrate the feasibility of installing a barrage on the Tamar River to control the accumulation of silt in the upper reaches of the river and form a large freshwater lake as a boost to the economic development of Launceston and the Tamar Valley... Our Mission: To demonstrate to all levels of government and the community the viability of the Tamar Lake concept... Established in 2010 as a not-for-profit Incorporated Association, Tamar Lake Inc has privately funded the investigation of the technical, environmental, economic and funding feasibility of the Tamar Lake Concept.
