Dana Holmes

Dana has been a cottage owner in Tobermory since 1990, a diver since 1976 and a tender at the Hyperbaric Chamber since 2007. An active volunteer, a former Human Resources practitioner and now a Conflict Resolution Advisor (Chartered Mediator) Dana brings this experience to her role on the Board.

Dr. Ali Appelton

Ali Appelton has a Bsc. from McGill University in Physical Sciences. She earned her Medical degree and Family Medicine Residency from the University of Toronto. She has her PADI Open Water Dive Certification and has enjoyed Scuba Diving in various locations around the globe. She completed the Canadian Armed Forces, Department of Research and Defence, Dive Medicine Course and has assisted in the initial triage and management of dive injured patients in Tobermory.

Dr. George Harpur

George Harpur is the Medical Director of the Tobermory Hyperbaric Facility, a Coroner for the Province of Ontario, and has been closely associated with Tobermory Health Services since 1974. His training includes: Ships Diving Officer Fleeting Diving Unit, Pacific 1966 and Medical Diving Officer diploma from the School of Operational and Aerospace Medicine 1975. He has been a regular lecturer to the Canadian Forces training courses for diving medicine ever since. He is a charter member of the Canadian Chapter of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society(CC-UHMS 2012), member at large of the executive and the Honorary Past President at inception.

Dr. Jonathan B. Thomas

Dr. Jonathan B. Thomas is a family physician working in a rural setting on the Bruce Peninsula with the Peninsula Family Health Team. In addition, he is an attending physician at the Golden Dawn Senior Citizen Home, works in the Emergency Department at Lion's Head Hospital while also working with the South West Primary Care Network as a Primary Care Colead. He obtained an HBSc and MSc in Medical Biophysics from University of Western Ontario, with MD from Queens University while completing Residency at the University of Toronto. He has completed the Canadian Armed Forces, Department of Research and Defence, Dive Medicine Course and assists in triage and management of dive injured patients in Tobermory.

Dr. Ralph Suke

Dr. Suke completed his Master's of Engineering at McMaster University in Hamilton in 1976. After a year of working as an engineer he completed his MD Degree in 1979, and Family Practice Degree at McMaster University in 1981. In June of 1981 he set up practice in Tobermory providing Family Practice, Emergency Services qualified SCUBA instructor he now added training in Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine. As Assistant Director of the Tobermory Hyperbaric Facility he saw and treated numerous diving injuries as well as medical problems amenable to Hyperbaric Treatment. He also participated in conducting and publishing a number of articles and studies related to hyperbaric medicine. He currently provides cardiac stress testing at the Tobermory Health Clinic and remains on-call for hyperbaric treatments in Tobermory.

Judy Caulfeild-Browne

Judy Caulfeild-Browne is a qualified interior designer who practiced in Toronto and Mississauga. Moving to the Bruce Peninsula in 1999, she has served on the Board of Home & Community Services, the Museum Committee and as a tender in the Hyperbaric Chamber. She travels extensively and likes to collect antiques.

Pamela Loughlean

Pamela Loughlean serves as the Executive Director for the Peninsula Family Health Team, working from both the Lion's Head and Tobermory sites. Raised on the Bruce Peninsula, she has assumed senior leadership roles in healthcare organizations in Ontario over the past twenty years In 2014, she returned to the area and assumed her current role. She joined the Tobermory Hyperbaric Facility Board of Directors in 2015. Pamela has a Masters degree in Business from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and is a certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL). She is the current Board of Directors Secretary & Treasurer.

Pete Dean

Pete is a lifelong resident of Tobermory. Owner/operator of a diving boat for over 30 years and was involved in commercial fishing and welding operations. He built his own 58 ft steel boat. He was one of the founders of the Tobermory Medical Clinic Auxiliary. Pete represented the area on the Bruce Peninsula Health Services and served as Chair. He also served term on local council and was involved in establishing the Neighbourhood Watch program.

Scarlett Janusas

Scarlett is an active diver, former dive instructor, and was the Chief Operator and Facilities Manager of the Tobermory Hyperbaric Facility for over 15 years and received her certified hyperbaric technician certificate. Scarlett is the President of an archaeological consulting firm conducting both land and underwater archaeology projects. She now serves as a member of the Tobermory Hyperbaric Facilities board.
