We the people of the Sanaag and Sool regions of Somalia acknowledge that successive generations of our people have been deprived of their rights to freedom, equality, and justice, which were granted by God to all mankind, we the people hereby affirm our declaration set forth below to address long-standing injustices... Having resolved and overcome our past conflicts and facing the future with a 
renewed sense of hope and in the spirit of reconciliation;... overwhelmingly support the establishment of an interim Administration in the Sanaag and Sool regions of Somalia and in exercise of their right to self- determination guaranteed under the comprehensive Somalia federal agreement of 2012, and the interim national constitution of the Federal Republic of Somalia also in 2012;
