FRANCIS DENTISTRY - Key Persons
Amanda Oszust is one of our full-time hygienists and also graduated from ODU with a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene. She too is committed to staying abreast of changing trends in dental hygiene and providing the best possible treatment to her patients. She is married with two young children.

Cathy Toler has been Dr. Scott Francis' assistant for over twenty years. She brings a superior knowledge of chairside dental assisting and a caring touch to her position. She has two adult daughters and four grandchildren.
Dr. Hunter Francis is a Hampton native and a graduate of the University of Richmond and the Georgetown University School of Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Francis joined the United States Navy, serving 4 years on active duty. During this time, he participated in advanced training rotations in oral surgery and endodontics. Dr. Francis has been in the private practice of dentistry since 1985, and is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and Peninsula Dental Society. He has participated in numerous VDA Mission of Mercy projects, and strongly believes in the value of life-long learning through continuing education.
Kim Johns is our front office administrator and has over 17 years with the practice. She has a strong knowledge of insurance practices and is committed to working with patients in the sometimes confusing insurance arena. She has an three adult children and four grandchildren.
Rachel Finch has been with the practice for over 20 years and is Dr. Hunter Francis' assistant. She brings strong skill and knowledge of dentistry and a caring touch to her position. She is married and has two children and two grandchildren.
Raquel McMillan has been with the practice for over a year and is invaluable in the scheduling, check-in, and check-out process at our front desk. She is married and has two children.
Samantha Stanaway is one of our full-time hygienists and graduated from ODU with a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene. She is committed to quality patient care and life-long learning. She is married and has one young son.
Dr. Scott Francis is a Hampton native and a graduate of the University of Richmond and the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Francis joined the United States Navy, serving 6 years on active duty. During this time, he spent one year in a General Practice Residency (at Portsmouth Naval Hospital). Dr. Francis has been in the private practice of dentistry since 1991, and he believes in giving back to his profession. He has served as President of the local Peninsula Dental Society and on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Dental Association. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Peninsula Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry, and has been named a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (F.A.G.D.), the Virginia Dental Association, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and the International College of Dentists. Dr. Francis has participated in numerous VDA Mission of Mercy projects and has also contributed services to the community through the VDA Donated Dental Services project. He strongly believes in the value of life-long learning through continuing education.
