HARBOR KNOLL

Harbor Knoll is one of Greenport's most historic homes. Boasting 10 bedrooms, the house was built in 1870 for a family from Georgia who moved north each summer to escape the southern heat. The gracious living of that time is suggested by the elegant flow of rooms that sends one into a relaxed state of mind. Previous owners of the home include a mayor of Greenport and the niece of General Custer... My husband and I just spent two nights in the Harbor Room. We have been to Greenport many times before but never stayed. I am so glad we chose Harbor Knoll. Mrs. Miller is an accommodating, gracious host in her magnificent home. Breakfast was delicious while enjoying the view. The room was beautiful, the bed comfortable and the view of the Harbor was great. We will surely return when the weather is warmer to enjoy sitting in the chairs overlooking the water!...
