Austin Rushing

Austin Rushing grew up in Thomson, GA and attended Georgia Southern University. He graduated with a degree in Construction Management and is a certified ASHE Project Manager that has worked in the construction industry since 2010. He has completed projects both in retail and health care construction while changing positions from Superintendent to Assistant Project Manager up to Project Manager. These projects range from demolition of a 4-story parking deck, a 100,000sf retail interior build-out, multiple renovations of hospitals' patient wings, and other various renovations. Austin's education and field experience lend him to be a versatile team member who strives to deliver the best results to his customers.

Carter Cleveland - President

Carter Cleveland has been a foundational member of the JH Cleveland team for almost 40 years. He started working in construction at an early age and has progressed from carpenter to project superintendent to now President of JH Cleveland as of 2007. Carter is involved in the day to day operations and achievements of the company and his employees. His hardworking and calm demeanor has led him to great success as the General Superintendent on all projects. He ensures that projects are being built on schedule and that they meet the JH Cleveland quality standard

Chris Huneycutt

  • Senior Project Manager
Chris Huneycutt has over 20 years' experience in commercial construction with projects ranging from large ground up Healthcare facilities, Higher Education, Municipality Projects, Ground up Office Buildings, Medical Office Buildings and Specialized Hospital Interior Renovations. Chris is enthusiastic, passionate and driven on providing top quality product to the client on schedule and within budget. He prides himself on leading trade partners and JH Cleveland team members to achieve success. Since joining JH Cleveland in December 2014, he has been integral component of JH Cleveland's overall growth the past 7 years. Chris graduated from East Carolina University ('99) with a BS in Construction Management. Chris and his family moved to Augusta in 2010. He enjoys spending time with his wife, (3) girls and playing golf during his off time.

Eric Bowen

As a result-oriented, hands on project manager with over 20 years of experience in all facets of the construction-development industry and a verifiable track record for the successful completion of all construction projects, Eric values the trust his clients place in him and strive every day to exceed their expectations. Over the past 20 years, he has successfully completed projects ranging from retail, professional office space, hospitality, restaurants, multi family, and athletic facilities across the southeast. Eric can assist with all phases of development, such as project cost analysis, design, scheduling, contract negotiations, and design build projects. With a "can do" attitude and strategic problem-solving tactics, each project is completed in a professional and timely manner to achieve the quality and service each client deserves. As a native of Augusta Georgia and where he lives today with his wife and two kids, he enjoys hanging out with his family, watching the Dawgs play on Saturdays, and playing golf.

Hal Beman

Hal is a 23 year veteran of the construction industry. After graduating from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Construction Management, he started his career as a project engineer, quality control manager and a construction scheduler on large commercial/industrial projects for the Federal Government. From there he was promoted to Project Manager, working for a commercial developer in Washington DC, in a very fast paced construction market. In 2011, Hal returned to Augusta with his family and continued his project management & project planning career with local developers and General Contractors. Hal has significant experience as a Project Manager, Planner, and Estimator in multiple markets, contract delivery methods, and industry sectors for both public and private work. His experience ranges from FBI Training Facilities, bomb testing facilities, multi-story office complexes, parking garages, student housing, bank, pre-schools, retail, and historical renovations project such as the Historical Miller Theater.

Roger Whitaker

With over 40 years in construction, Roger brings well-diversified experience to the JH Cleveland team. His experience includes carpentry, field supervision, project management and project estimation. With over 28 years of supervisory and management experience, he has successfully completed commercial, healthcare, restaurants, municipal, education, church, golf club, detention, industrial, design-build and historic renovation projects. His current focus is estimating and project management. He can assist with budgeting, negotiated project estimates and hard-bid projects and is well-versed in the value engineering process. A Thomson native, Roger lives with his wife and daughter who is a teacher for the deaf and hard of hearing. As a pilot he enjoys all things aviation. He also likes camping and traveling with his family.

Trina Williams

Trina Williams joined J. H. Cleveland Construction in 2019 and serves as the Accounting Manager. Trina is responsible for managing accounting and finance, cash flow, and reporting requirements of the company. Trina brings over 20 years of accounting experience to J.H. Cleveland and over 16 years of industry experience in both residential and commercial construction. Prior to joining J.H. Cleveland, Trina held various management positions within residential and commercial construction companies throughout the greater Augusta area. She is a Marine Corps veteran and a graduate of Augusta State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting.
