Althea Perez

Althea joined Lighthouse Trust and Corporate in 2018 and operates out of the Pietermaritzburg Office.

Arno Goebel

Arno heads up the fiduciary division at Lighthouse and he is a director at PGPS Attorneys. Specialising in estate planning, income tax, company and commercial law, e-commerce and trust law, he obtained a B Com, majoring in economics and law from The University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg in 1991. He completed his LLB degree in 1993 before leaving for the UK, where he was employed by Herbert Smith, London office, as an in-house financial analyst. Upon Arno's return to South Africa in 1996, he joined the firm Shepstone & Wylie Tomlinsons, and was admitted as an attorney the following year, taking up a position in the firm's trust, estates and tax department. In 1999 he obtained his LLM degree in tax from the University of Natal, Durban. In 2001 Arno was made a director of the firm, which later changed its name to Tomlinson Mnguni James. In 2020 he continued his career by establishing PGPS firm with his colleagues.

Candice Williams

Candice completed her LL.B. at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, Howard College in 2004. From 2005-2006, she served her Articles of Clerkship with the attorneys Sham & Co, followed by completing her Practical Legal Training. Thereafter, Candice joined Standard Trust, a division of Standard Bank, from 2007-2017 and gained extensive knowledge and experience in the Administration of Deceased Estate, Wills and Banking. In 2010, she completed a Diploma in Deceased Estates Practice with UNISA In 2013, she completed a Diploma in Financial Planning and is pursuing completion of the Certificate in Financial Planning, which covers various fields in the Fiduciary space. In 2017, she joined FNB Fiduciary and worked as an Estates Administrator in their Deceased Estates Division. In May 2018, Candice joined TMJ as an associate and looks forward to mastering her skills in the Fiduciary Division.

Hayley Pillay

Hayley specialises in the Administration of Deceased Estates; Estate Planning; Trusts and Conveyancing. She has worked as a conveyancing secretary at three well reputed firms in Pietermaritzburg from 2002 to 2005. In 2005 she enrolled to study a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree through the University of South Africa (UNISA) and graduated with this degree in 2009. Hayley was admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer in 2010. She joined the Fiduciary Department at TMJ as a Senior Associate in October 2014 and was a director of the firm until June 2020. She will continue to specialise in these areas at PGPS Attorneys, and she is looking forward to this next chapter in her career

Judd Reid

Judd is a specialist fiduciary attorney at Lighthouse and specialises in Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Wills and Trust Law and is a registered tax practitioner with South African Revenue Services. Judd joined TMJ as a Director in 2013 and practices out of the firm's Umhlanga Ridge offices.

Robert Stuart-Hill

Rob joined TMJ in April 2018 and specialises in Commercial, Insurance and Property Litigation. He will continue to specialise in these areas of law as a director at PGPS Attorneys. He studied at the University of Natal and spent time working in London. He joined Venn Nemeth & Hart in 1994 as an Article Clerk and was appointed as a Director in 1999 and Managing Director in 2014. After 24 years' experience as a Litigator Rob still enjoys the challenges of resolving disputes efficiently.
