Amber Hammond joined Gilbert LLP in 2025. She represents corporate and individual clients in complex civil litigation, insurance recovery matters, and bankruptcy matters. She also maintains an active pro bono practice.
Following law school, Amber served as a judicial law clerk in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. She then worked as an Associate in the São Paulo, Brazil office of a global law firm that focused on litigation and investigations involving international fraud and misconduct. Prior to joining Gilbert, Amber worked as an Associate in the investigations, white collar, and fraud group of another prominent law firm in Washington, D.C. She received her law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law.

Beth Koehler is an insurance coverage and bankruptcy attorney. Prior to joining Gilbert LLP, Ms. Koehler worked at other law firms handling general liability and D&O insurance matters. In addition, Ms. Koehler has over twenty years experience in E-Discovery, and heads Gilbert's LLP's E-Discovery Group. Ms. Koehler currently is working on several asbestos/talc bankruptcies at Gilbert LLP.
In addition, Ms. Koehler regularly advises clients regarding litigation readiness, data migrations, security, mobile devices, emerging data problems, FRCP best practices, TAR workflows, and managed review. She excels at crafting solutions tailored to each client's pain points while delivering defensible and efficient results that maximize cost savings.
Beth is licensed in the District of Columbia and Maryland. Her law degree is from Georgetown University Law Center and her undergraduate degree is from Michigan State University.
Beth is the President of Tesseract Data Services, Gilbert's legal technology subsidiary.
Blair Hubbard is the Director of Analytics at Gilbert LLP. She is a valued partner to the legal team, bringing over a decade of experience applying her broad technical and analytical background to supporting clients in the context of complex dispute resolution.
Blair's expertise has been primarily focused in working with policyholder clients and their coverage counsel to inform their legal strategy in pre-litigation negotiations. She utilizes relational database theory and customized dynamic modeling to help make sense of a client's insurance assets and to quantify potential outcomes with a range of strategic input scenarios. She has assisted her clients and their attorneys in the recovery of billions of dollars in insurance assets for a range of liabilities including asbestos, talc, environmental remediation, and sexual abuse claims.
Through the role of the Director of Analytics at Gilbert, Blair and the legal team aim to find added efficiencies for their clients. They are able to seamlessly integrate quantitative analysis into their legal strategy, and be proactive in identifying and meeting their clients' needs by leveraging their complimentary skills as one team.
Prior to joining Gilbert, Blair oversaw project teams at two of the industry's leading policyholder-side consulting firms in a variety of contexts including litigation, pre-litigation negotiations, and post-settlement coverage-in-place administration. She has also utilized her background in systems analysis and design in the development of many industry-specific technology platforms.
Blair received a B.S. in Systems and Information Engineering from the University of Virginia.
Brandon Levey joined Gilbert in 2019. He represents individuals, governments, and organizations in a wide range of complex matters, including in high stakes bankruptcy and insurance recovery work. Brandon has appeared in and argued depositions and court hearings and has been lead associate in numerous litigation and bankruptcy matters that have concluded favorably for our clients. He has litigated a wide variety of claims, including insurance breach of contract cases, construction-related disputes, housing issues, and claims seeking insurance coverage to remediate environmental-related issues. Prior to joining Gilbert LLP, Brandon was an associate at a prominent international law firm, working on litigation, antitrust, and sanctions matters.
Brandon also maintains an active pro bono practice, most recently assisting juvenile lifers in clemency and pardon proceedings in both Maryland and the District of Columbia and representing numerous individuals in parole proceedings before the United States Parole Commission. He has played a leading role in securing the supervised release of at least eight individuals with lengthy sentences, most of whom were sentenced to life in prison.
Charlie's practice is focused on litigation, with significant experience resolving complex and high-profile cases and claims through trials (and, when necessary, appeals), arbitrations, motions practice and negotiated settlements. Charlie has obtained legal victories for both public and private sector clients. Early in his career, as an Assistant United States Attorney, he represented the United States, the President, Supreme Court Justices, the Attorney General, and the Secretary of Defense as well as other federal officials and government agencies in court. In private practice, he has obtained favorable results in must-win litigation that would determine his clients' solvency and ability to continue operating as going concerns.
Charlie joined Gilbert LLP in March 2025.
Chelsea Krzaczek joined Gilbert in 2023. She works with Gilbert attorneys who represent corporate and individual clients in complex civil litigation matters. She also maintains an active pro bono practice.
Prior to joining Gilbert, Chelsea was a litigation associate in the Washington, DC office of a prominent international law firm. Chelsea's practice focused on commercial litigation and included representing a national pharmaceutical company in an antitrust action as well as representing a national consumer credit reporting agency in consumer credit litigation. She received her law degree from the Washington College of Law at American University.
As a seasoned counselor with over two decades of courtroom and litigation experience, Chris has helped corporate clients secure more than $3.5 billion in litigation recoveries as plaintiffs in antitrust litigation. These cases arose from the agribusiness, automotive, chemical, consumer electronics, finance, and software markets, and involved complex commercial disputes, important supplier relationships, cross-border public and private enforcement actions, and a host of other litigation and claim resolution challenges.
Chris is also at the forefront of advising corporate clients, leading AmLaw firms, investors, and asset managers in identifying, valuing, and monetizing legal assets and litigation recoveries, including complex commercial claims and litigation portfolios. He has served as the outside General Counsel for a publicly traded litigation finance fund managing over $600 million, and later pioneered an investment strategy for the fund that helped generate over $1 billion in gross proceeds (and close to $300 million in gross dollar returns to the fund and its investors). He then served as a principal and co-founder of a litigation investment business for a market leading global advisory and restructuring firm. He has likewise served as a Director at an established fund manager with over $1.25 billion in assets under management devoted to investing in legal assets. He is now routinely engaged by funds and investors in litigation related investment opportunities. He also works with companies and counsel to advance their affirmative recovery objectives by helping them to hedge litigation risk while maximizing their expected litigation recoveries. Chris is also regularly engaged by law firms, insurance companies, and litigation finance brokers to help them manage a diverse range of legal funding matters involving high-value claims.

Eric Hauser is the Director of External Affairs at Gilbert LLP. He a highly regarded strategic leader and executive manager with 25 years delivering results in communications, advocacy, politics and business.
Hauser has been both a successful innovator and high-level manager throughout his career. He has devised hundreds of communications strategies, steered complex organizations through difficult changes, and trained and nurtured countless young professionals.
His role at Gilbert LLP is to communicate the firm's mission and expertise to its many audiences. Hauser oversees Gilbert's marketing, publications, social media, and public relations. He engineered the 2018 creation of Gilbert's innovative website, www.Gilbertlegal.com, and is developing a host of new strategies to communicate Gilbert's leadership and savvy in complex dispute resolution.
Hauser brings a wide range of experience to Gilbert, having served as a communications director on Capitol Hill and in presidential campaigns, the Strategic Advisor for the AFL-CIO, and as President of The Hauser Group. He is highly skilled in evaluating landscapes and plotting courses of action that help leaders and organizations achieve their goals.
Hauser received a B.A. in philosophy and political science from Kenyon College.
Ethan Kaminsky joined Gilbert in 2021. He represents businesses, governments, institutional investors, and individuals in complex civil litigation and bankruptcy proceedings. He has experience litigating class actions and individual actions under the federal antitrust laws, state consumer protection laws, and other federal and state statutes. He also maintains an active pro bono practice.
Prior to joining Gilbert, Ethan worked as an antitrust litigation associate in the New York office of a prominent law firm and received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.

Janet Sanchez joined Gilbert in 2020. During law school, Janet worked with Gilbert attorneys on bankruptcy and pro bono matters. She also completed a clinic with DC's Rising for Justice, during which Janet represented tenants in the Justice Housing Advocacy and Litigation Clinic at the Landlord Tenant Branch of the DC Superior Court.
Jason Rubinstein brings nearly two decades of insurance recovery and strategic risk management advice to his client's most significant insurance-related issues. He has extensive experience across various lines of insurance, including but not limited to general liability, product liability, environmental, directors and officers, property, errors and omissions, product recall, contaminated products, and automobile liability. His insurance experience spans an equally broad range of industries, ranging from manufacturing to pharmaceutical to venture capital to property management. His clients have included companies, post-bankruptcy trusts, bankruptcy committees, 501(c)(3) entities, and individuals.
In addition, Jason is an experienced commercial litigator who routinely operates in federal, state, and alternative dispute proceedings. Jason is a savvy advisor to clients regarding their business needs. He emphasizes creative, pragmatic, and tenacious approaches to efficiently achieving his client's goals.
Jason also maintains an active pro bono practice at the firm. His pro bono representations have included matters such as: (1) securing hundreds of thousands of dollars for medical expenses associated with an automobile accident that resulted in catastrophic brain injury; (2) performing an insurance and risk management review of insurance portfolio and risk transfer mechanisms for a national organization related to historic preservation; (3) providing strategic insurance advice to a 501(c)(3) organization regarding COVID-19 related losses; (4) co-authoring an amicus curiae brief to the United States Supreme Court; and (5) advising low-income housing cooperatives on their insurance portfolios.

Meredith Neely approaches the challenges her clients face from an analytical perspective that is intuitive, creative, and well-grounded in business and legal realities. She has more than a decade of experience in insurance recovery practice, throughout which she has helped her clients to recover billions of dollars in insurance proceeds and to structure their insurance portfolios to protect other valuable assets. She is both a zealous litigator and tactful negotiator, with a track record of success negotiating settlements informally, during mediation, in the context of bankruptcy restructuring, and whenever a reasonable compromise can be reached. When a reasonable compromise is not possible, Meredith has consistently demonstrated the strength of her clients' positions by successfully litigating claims through trial and appeal.

Rick Leveridge has been practicing law for over 40 years. His affiliation with Gilbert started in 1997 when he and the founders of Gilbert LLP were partners at the national law firm of Dickstein Shapiro LLP. Rick rejoined Gilbert as a partner in 2018. Since that time, he has led a number of litigation teams, including those representing the States of Delaware and Ohio and a number of Indian Tribes against certain manufacturers, distributors and dispensers of opioids. He is also representing the governmental opioids claimants as co-plaintiffs in the Purdue Pharma Bankruptcy Adversary Proceeding involving coverage for opioids claims under the Debtors' insurance policies. Similarly, Rick and Gilbert are lead counsel to the statutory trust created by the plan of reorganization in the Mallinckrodt bankruptcy proceedings for the benefit of individuals and entities harmed by Mallinckrodt's role in creating, perpetuating, and contributing to the nationwide opioid crisis in an insurance coverage action in Missouri state court to recover proceeds for compensating opioids claimants.
Richard Shore has 30 years of experience helping clients overcome bet-the-company problems.
Richard has helped Fortune 500 and other clients successfully resolve billions of dollars in complex, multi-party business disputes and legal claims, with a focus on representing policyholders in insurance coverage disputes, particularly where those disputes involve the intersection of mass-tort, bankruptcy, and insurance. He has advised clients facing significant liabilities on global strategies for dealing with these problems. His work involves strategic advice, counseling, alternative dispute resolution, complex multi-party settlement negotiations, litigation management, and appellate matters.
Richard has successfully led large litigation and transactional teams, including coordinating among multiple law and consulting firms with varying expertise on large and complex matters. He currently is leading efforts on behalf of opioid claimants to assess the nature and extent of the opioid industry's insurance coverage available to address claims by governmental entities, individuals, and others harmed by the opioid crisis.
Richard has developed an engaging dispute settlement seminar that draws on Hollywood films and New Yorker cartoons to illustrate successful negotiating techniques. He has been quoted on insurance matters by media outlets including USA TODAY, CNNMoney.com, and Business Insurance magazine. He has written articles on insurance and ADR issues that have appeared in a variety of print and electronic publications, including Forbes.com.

Sonia Murphy has extensive litigation experience. She joined Gilbert LLP after spending six years in one of the most active litigation sections of the U.S. Department of Justice, where her practice included government contracts, government pay and personnel suits, and veteran and other benefit appeals. Before joining the Department of Justice, Sonia worked at several international law firms and for the U.S. International Trade Commission as an Attorney Advisor to the then-Chairman. Sonia has represented a diverse range of clients, from major corporations to private citizens.

Tarsha Jones works on complex commercial litigation matters in both federal and state courts in insurance coverage disputes.
Prior to joining Gilbert LLP, Tarsha was an associate at a law firm in Maryland, where her practice included litigating pre-trial, trial and post-trial matters for various domestic and civil matters including divorce, custody, protective orders, peace orders and bankruptcies. She also served as a law clerk at D.C. Superior Court's Office of the Special Master and conducted administrative reviews of abuse and neglect matters to ensure compliance with the Adoption and Safe Families Act. Also, she has experience with both internal corporate reviews and governmental investigations related to antitrust, product liability and mergers and acquisitions law.
Will Swain joined Gilbert LLP in 2023. He represents corporate and individual clients in a variety of complex civil litigation matters. Prior to joining Gilbert, Will was a law clerk at a civil and criminal law firm in North Carolina and a public finance, affordable housing, and economic development law firm that served communities across North Carolina.
Will earned his law degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law and received several book awards and scholarships for academic performance. He was Senior Editor of the North Carolina Central Law Review and a Legal Writing Tutor. At NCCU's Juvenile Law Clinic, Will represented juvenile clients facing criminal complaints with the guidance of a prominent Durham, N.C. judge.
Yifan Liu joined Gilbert in 2023. She works with Gilbert attorneys who represent corporate and individual clients in complex civil litigation and insurance recovery matters. Prior to joining Gilbert LLP, Yifan worked as a judicial fellow for the Honorable Laura A. Cordero on the DC Superior Court.
Yifan received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center where she served on the Georgetown Journal of International Law. Prior to attending law school, Yifan worked at an international organization. She also earned her Master of Arts degree in International Affairs from the George Washington University.
