Angela joined us in December 2014 after nearly 16 years at Mercer Peace River (formerly Daishowa-Marubeni International Ltd.). She has been working with Strategic HSE for 7 years as our Program Development Manager but recently, Angela has been promoted to our NEW General Manager position!
Prior to being promoted, Angela oversaw client program development needs such as policies, procedures and manuals as well as set up and management of Digital Action Tracking System (DATS) accounts and e-learning development requirements. She managed numerous transportation client accounts including NSC Carrier Safety and Maintenance Program Development, data management of truck/trailer and driver files, and monthly hours of service/logbook auditing. Angela's experience is well-versed in all things Strategic HSE which made her the perfect fit as our first General Manager.
Angela's new responsibilities as General Manager will include day-to-day operations of Strategic HSE, developing and implementing CRM (Client Relations Manager) software to manage client accounts more efficiently, tracking all costs, as well as monitoring workloads and assigning tasks to our team members.

- Occupational Health Technician
Caelin joined our team in May 2021, assisting our Occupational Health Testing Division throughout the summer months. Caelin will be graduating from Northern Lakes College in June 2022, as a Licensed Practical Nurse. With that, she will be transitioning into a full-time position with Strategic HSE, bringing a fresh new perspective to our Occupational Health Testing Division.
In the future, Caelin aims to become an Occupational Health Nurse to assist us with the growth of our Occupational Testing Divison. Caelin loves spending time with her family and friends in her free time.

Catlin is a recent addition to the Strategic HSE team bringing with him a variety of experience in the Health & Safety Industry.
Catlin is certified in Health & Safety Administration and is currently working towards becoming a certified National Construction Safety Officer. Catlin also has experience as an H2S Safety Supervisor in the Oilfield, as well as experience managing the Health & Safety division in the Warehousing Industry. Recently, he was also approved as a National Construction Safety Officer. Catlin will be managing our Edmonton division providing quality services to our clients.
We are pleased to introduce the newest member of our Strategic team, Dr. Nerine Ras! Dr. Ras will be spearheading our Occupational Health Testing Division bringing in a vast variety of medical experience to our team.
Ras is a citizen of South Africa where she graduated with a degree in Human Physiology. From there, she took a yearlong pause before beginning her Medical Degree, which she completed in 2011. Ras has since gained additional medical experience through a 2-year internship program at an academic hospital, worked in District & Rural hospitals, and spent much time working in the ER Department assisting with COVID-19 patients. Ras has also worked in a Psychiatry hospital where she discovered her passion for Mental Health.
Ras moved to Canada in August 2018, with her husband and two daughters. She lived in Whitby, Ontario for 3 years and currently resides in Grimshaw, AB since June 2021. She's always wanted to get out of the city and is happy to be in a rural area!
With the addition of Dr. Ras to our team, we will be restructuring our Occupational Health Testing division to include the following services:

Physical Fit Testing
Mask Fit Testing
First Aid Training
Air Particle Testing
Born and raised in Northern Alberta, he's built a career within the energy sector in a variety of roles over the past 20 years. These have ranged from employment in environmental account management to industrial logistic coordination and hazardous and recyclable environmental waste management.
Kent has extensive knowledge, experience, and training in the many aspects of technical, operational, and administrative practices related to the oil and gas industry, including operations, business development, Indigenous relations/capacity building, health and safety, and environmental management.

Lisa became a member of our team in late 2015 after five years of service at Avenge Energy Services Inc. As the organization's Safety Coordinator, she was responsible for developing, implementing and managing the Safety Management System.
Most of Lisa's work is field related. She monitors active industrial operations to ensure Occupational Health and Safety legislated-responsibilities are met, company and client-specific policies and procedures are followed, and National Safety Code obligations are achieved.

Rylee Armstrong joined our team in April 2020 as Marketing Manager. She brings the strength of operating a graphic design and marketing firm in Peace River to her role with Strategic HSE.
She's a graduate from Southwest Minnesota State University with a Bachelor of Science in
Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design. Her entrepreneurial endeavour began in 2019 when Rylee identified a need for creative marketing services in Northern Alberta.
She's eager to help our company put its best foot forward while delivering the best services to her clients.

Samuel Elkins is owner of Strategic HSE Systems Inc., delivering consulting services to the forestry, energy and transportation industries as well as provincial governments throughout Western Canada.
He leads the company with 30 years of background in natural resource management, health and safety, and transportation compliance across Canada.
Samuel's held various industry, consulting, and government positions and has extensive experience and training in many aspects of technical, operational, and administrative practices related to the natural resources sector. These include operations, management systems, sustainable forest management, health and safety, commercial transportation, and greenhouse gas advisory services.
He's a 1994 graduate of the Maritime Forest Ranger School in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and a Registered Professional Forest Technologist through the Association of Alberta Forest Management Professionals.

Saphire joined us in April 2016 with a rich history in the retail/customer services industry. Her background also includes experience in the energy sector and employment with a paving company, demonstrating readiness to work hard in any environment and that she doesn't mind getting her hands dirty to complete a job.
Saphire oversees the day-to-day needs of the Strategic HSE team, including the management of our office headquarters, invoicing/billing, staff and client relations, and data entry. Her duties also take in facilitating all client appointments and enquiries and working closely with company executives.

Sarah signed on at Strategic HSE Systems Inc. in January 2021 as our Transportation Compliance Manager with a wealth of law enforcement, transportation and safety experience.
Over the past 12 years, she's worked in various industry, consulting and government relations positions. These jobs have ranged from Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance transportation officer to Alberta Transportation NSC auditor to an independent mechanical inspector in the log hauling industry.
