The charity was the Birmingham Citizens Advice Bureaux... I retrained as a domestic energy assessor and home inspector to offer EPCs to vendors and landlords, and to supply Home Information Packs to Estate Agents, but in 2010 moved the focus of the business to offer innovative solutions to the ever increasing problem of home reposessions. It was on the announcement of the Section 24 income tax changes that I decided that there must a solution to the seemingly impossible situation private landlords found themselves. Six months of research and development with accountants, solicitors and coffee helped develop that solution - the 60/40 plan.
