The DeepData founding team has worked together starting and building software companies in Silicon Valley for 20 years. This included taking one company public and selling another to Microsoft. We enjoyed solving real problems with cutting-edge technology and intuitive design, but we really wanted to do something significant something that could make lives better for millions. We just needed a big problem to solve... During this time, we became interested in energy. Cheap and abundant energy fuels the economy, it literally powers everything. The growth of country GDP can be directly correlated to units of energy. We studied the energy challenge from an economic perspective; weighing the EROEI (Energy Returned on Energy Invested), energy density (joles/pound), energy storage, and more.
