Fruit West Co-operative Ltd was formed in 2012 to enable growers to have greater involvement in the commercialisation of fruit varieties bred in breeding programs and protected under Plant Breeder's Rights legislation. Fruit West Co-operative Ltd is a grower owned and controlled co-operative and has been granted an exclusive licence by the Western Australian Agriculture Authority to grow, pack and market fruit of the ANABP 01 apple variety in Australia. Working for the farmers who grow this stunning, unique apple, Fruit West Co-operative Ltd sub-licences a select small number of nurseries, pack houses and marketers to form a world class supply chain that assures delivery of quality, ready to consume, Australian grown fruit.
