David Ramich - Managing Director

David is a dynamic financial leader with over a decade of experience as CFO with consumer products and technology based companies and in investment banking and principal investing. He began his career with Bank of America's Syndicated Finance Group in Charlotte, NC. While at BofA David focused on M&A transactions and debt refinancing deals for investment grade, middle market, and leveraged companies. David moved to Fidus Partners, a lower middle market M&A firm, and began focusing on smaller/new stage companies. At Fidus, David worked on both sell and buyside engagements for small family owned businesses, PEG owned companies and divestitures of larger corporations. David moved to Lynx Partners, an NYC-based private equity firm that focused on investments in lower middle market industrial manufacturing and distribution. David's passion for small business brought him to Denver to be the CFO of Performance Enhancing Meat Snacks, Inc., a consumer package goods company. In this role he was responsible for day-to-day financial oversight of the business and helped grow the company from under $1 million in annual recurring revenue to $12 million over a three year period. In addition to financial responsibilities, he was deeply involved in strategy, marketing and operations management as the number two officer to the CEO. Most recently, David was CFO of MuscleSound, LLC, a SaaS-based B2B company focused on monitoring muscle health. His responsibilities included day-to-day financial management, cash flow management, raising capital (equity and debt) and overall business strategy.

Jacob Stewart

Biography Jacob Stewart graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a triple major in finance, accounting, and economics along with a minor in mathematics and a Quantitative Finance Certificate. Jacob started working with FreshTrax in January of 2017. Prior to being an Analyst with FreshTrax Consulting, Jacob worked as a member of the global finance division at Oracle and in the accounting department at ProNerve LLC, an intra neuromonitoring healthcare company. With FreshTrax, Jacob is responsible for all facets and leads bookkeeping and accounting. Jacob has a passion for small business and entrepreneurialism. In addition to FreshTrax Consulting, Jacob continues to operate his own business in the retail apparel business as well as doing computer and tech repairs.

Johnny Kelly

Biography Johnny will leverage a ten-year career on Wall St and recent operational success at a startup to bring a new dimension of service to FTC. His experience, relationships and strategic partnerships will be an invaluable resource to clients looking to grow their businesses. Johnny began his career as a Financial Analyst in Morgan Stanley's Private Wealth Management Division a boutique division of the firm catering exclusively to families, foundations and endowments with a minimum of $20mm in liquid assets. In this role, he formulated and pitched capital market trading strategies, performed detailed asset allocation analysis, and lead business development efforts for a team managing over $1B in client assets. After the conclusion of the formal two-year training program Johnny was the only member of the class promoted directly to the MBA Associate Program. At age 28, Johnny became the youngest Private Wealth Advisor in the country and began to build his own book of business. While in production he consistently ranked #1 against his 100+ person peer group and was a member of Morgan Stanley's Pacesetter's Club every year he was eligible. Prior to joining FTC, Johnny served as the Executive Vice-President of Business Development for Austin, TX based Smarter Sorting. At Smarter Sorting, Johnny lead a successful seed fundraising round and introduced the company to Venture Capital firms setting the table for a future Series A round. He also leveraged his network to source candidates for key positions as the company continues to grow. Giving back has always been important to Johnny. He Co-Founded and Co-Chaired the Leadership Committee for New York City based Student Sponsor Partners and the Junior Board of Directors for The Waterside School in Stamford, CT. He was elected to the Greensward Circle and Young Leadership Committee of the Central Park Conservancy. Last November he ran in the NYC Marathon with Team V in support of the V Foundation for Cancer Research. In 2008, Johnny was awarded a John C. Whitehead Fellowship by the Foreign Policy Association. Johnny is a 2003 graduate of Williams College. At Williams, he competed on the Varsity Football and Lacrosse teams. In 2002, Johnny was selected by d3football.com as a Preseason All-American and named to the Eastern Coast Athletic Coast D3 Football All-Star Team.

Katharine Leonard

Throughout her career, Katharine has focused on operational strategy and tactical execution. Katharine is passionate about process improvement, and dedicated to finding and implementing efficiencies in all stages of a process. Prior to joining FreshTrax, Katharine spent over ten years working with Financial Services and Technology companies on improving their day-to-day operations and executing on long-term solutions. Katharine started her career in Operations at TD Ameritrade where she found efficiencies through reporting and database enhancements, reducing manual processing by 75%. She then went on to work at TCA powered by E*TRADE where she ran multiple Lean Six Sigma projects including implementing a business process management system for client services and operations, strategizing a technology request platform, building out Salesforce integrations, and creating transparency and visibility using reporting and dashboards. Katharine transferred to AlphaPeak Capital (formerly Global Financial Private Capital) where she worked closely with IARs and RIAs on improving their processes with CRM workflows and integrations, and executed on strategies to systematize AlphaPeak's TAMP services. There she implemented a large scale portfolio management and reporting system across 500+ financial advisors, and the entire Salesforce suite including Sales, Service, and Marketing Cloud. Katharine also co-founded a company called ShiftChange, a mobile app used to enhance communication and payment methods for contract hirers and their workers. At ShiftChange, Katharine supports strategic partnerships, business strategy and development, platform integrations, product design and workflows. Katharine is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and holds an MBA from Colorado State University College of Business and a Bachelor of Arts from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY.

Ted Leonard - CEO, Founder

Biography Ted is a strategically-focused and financially-minded business leader who is passionate about supporting entrepreneurs and collaborating with business owners to help them maximize value. Prior to his FreshTrax endeavor, Ted spent over a decade gaining experience across multiple industries and business functions including: board advisory, executive management, corporate finance, day-to-day operations and transactions. He started his career with Thomson Reuters as a portfolio analyst and consultancy advisor to mutual fund boards. Ted moved to FTI Consulting in the Telecommunications, Media and Technology practice. In this role he provided financial advisory for debtor and creditor-side restructuring engagements. Additionally, Ted assisted on turnaround management and performance improvement engagements. Following FTI, Ted worked for DaVita Healthcare Partners as an operational finance manager and senior manager of strategy. In these functions Ted was responsible for business strategy and operational financial management of multiple divisions totaling over $500 million in revenue. Most recently Ted served as Interim Vice President of Business Operations for Platte River Associates, a software technology company that operates in the oil and gas space. In this role Ted was responsible for all facets of the business: day-to-day operations, sales and marketing, finance and software development. Ted sits on the Board of Directors for the First National Bank of Dwight, an agricultural-based bank located in Dwight, IL. Ted received his Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Economics from Hamilton College and his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business.
