After entry into the College of Engineering for ChemE and taking a slight deviation to Psychology in undergrad, I found my analytical skills and pattern seeking observations going from interpersonal relationships in the therapy sessions, to patterns in data reviewed on neuropsych evaluations for various cases. Transitioning from the clinical setting to the research industry just after the turn of the century the "Why"s never stopped from engineering mathematics, to motives of people, to methods within a study protocol. Being able to discern causes from consequences continues for assessing the root cause of limitations and issues that arise.
