Claire is Head of People and Operations and works to improve our people and processes. She uses the digital expertise she gained in roles at Boardworks, Educake and her own business to work on client projects and champion EdTech at Oriel Square.

Eva Steenhuis

Job Titles:
  • Project Editor
As Project Editor, Eva works in both an editorial and project management capacity to ensure the smooth running of our publishing projects. She especially enjoys working on children's readers and phonics resources.

Hannie Kirkham

Job Titles:
  • Research and Strategy Manager
As Research and Strategy Manager, Hannie drives strategy and product development alongside thought leadership publications and events. An experienced educational publisher and school governor, Hannie is especially involved with our customer insights projects, including our Teacher Research Group.

Imaan Munir

Job Titles:
  • Project Editor
Project Editor Imaan is our Subject Champion for inclusion and representation. She works with our Editorial team to support the delivery of high quality content and contributes to Oriel Square's research and professional development courses.

John Deans

Job Titles:
  • Director
Co-founder John leads our publishing delivery work. An experienced publisher, developer and senior manager, he gained his experience in schools and ELT roles with global publishers, and in the hands-on technology leadership role of a digital publisher, from start-up to market leadership. John is interested in the educational challenges set by technological and social change, with a critical eye on claims made for these. He's an occasional ELT teacher and an experienced trainer.

Keira Moulding

As Communications Manager, Keira runs our website, blog, newsletter and social media. She also brings her skills to research and thought leadership projects to communicate findings effectively.

Lauren Spence

Job Titles:
  • Commissioning Editor
Commissioning Editor Lauren has authored and edited in educational publishing since 2014. She specialises in EdTech, bridging content pedagogy and platform functionality in her previous roles at Boardworks and OUP. She's also our humanities subject champion.

Liz Cremona-Howard

  • Publishing Delivery Manager
Publishing Delivery Manager Liz has more than a decade of experience in educational publishing, including working as an editor and publisher in-house at Pearson. With specialist expertise in primary English, Liz has led a number of complex print and digital publishing projects.

Lyn Roberts

As Publishing Delivery Leader, Lyn manages digital and non-digital projects. With her extensive project management experience across different sectors, Lyn previously commissioned learning materials at CGP. Lyn is interested in new methods of language teaching, and in inclusive education.

Maegan Dobson-Sippy

As Publishing Delivery Leader, Maegan manages the day-to-day running of editorial and publishing projects. With a background working in visual publishing in India and in the international education teams at OUP and Pearson, she has specialist expertise in international curricula.

Rebekkah Hughes

As Design Manager, Rebekkah oversees the creative side of our projects, including resource management, commissioning artwork, illustrators and designers, as well as fulfilling our internal design needs. Rebekkah has held roles in adult education and training and holds a master's degree in Graphic Design which informs her approach to design process and management.

Sam Derby - Founder

Co-founder Sam leads our consultancy and business development work. An experienced director, governor and senior manager, Sam's time at Pearson - where he worked across professional development, qualifications, digital teaching and learning and publishing - established the foundation of his knowledge of the education world. Sam is particularly interested in digital transformations in education, including culture change and agile methodologies. He is an experienced trainer, coach and mentor.

Sarah Bean

Sarah has worked in publishing since 2015 and holds a master's degree in Publishing. As Editorial Project Leader, Sarah's background is in ELT, previously managing the production side of print and digital projects at OUP.
