Ian Smith has recently returned to independent consulting. Working in the pipeline industry since 1996 in a variety of roles, Ian is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada. With senior consulting and management experience for companies like Pipetronix, Sun-Canadian Pipe Line, and Quest Integrity, Ian has extensive experience in pipeline integrity programs, software and product development, project management, pipeline engineering, risk management, incident investigation, hydraulic modelling, and pipeline operations. Ian has experience as a service line manager for pipeline integrity engineering solutions and as a product manager forFitness-for-Service software. Areas of expertise include: Integrity and fitness-for-service assessments Integrity assessment standards Internal inspection program development and implementation Defect examinations Project management and engineering Pipeline operations support and hydraulic analysis Ian is a trusted leader in the industry and is a requested course instructor.
