It was no surprise that I was drawn to textiles. After all, I had been helping in my family's drapery and upholstery business since childhood, and my mind was filled with creative ideas. So when I got my first job in the fashion industry, I soon became the company's textile designer. I learned about the intricacies of weaves and construction, and applied this knowledge create colors and textures in my jacquards. The more my talents improved, the more I knew I had found my art...
In 2007 I left my full time position to pursue a career as a freelance designer. In 2008 I had the opportunity to design the apparel jacquard line for a domestic mill that specialized in upholstery fabrics, but was working to gain a better foothold in the uniform textile market.
