Bennett Borden

Bennett Borden is a partner in Drinker Biddle & Reath's Litigation Group, Chief Data Scientist, and Co-chair of the Information Governance and eDiscovery Group. He is also an executive managing director of the firm's subsidiary, Tritura Information Governance LLC, which provides state of the art ediscovery technology and services to the firm's clients.

Dawson Horn - VP

Dawson Horn is the Associate General Counsel, Vice President & Deputy Director of eDiscovery at AIG. Broadly, his expertise lies in complex commercial litigation, insurance, products liability and, obviously, eDiscovery. Prior to AIG, Mr. Horn was the Senior Litigation Counsel with Tyco International where he managed a complex litigation docket, a large toxic tort docket, and an insurance recovery docket. Before that he served for eight years as Assistant General Counsel at Altria Corporate Services, where he managed RICO and product liability suits against Philip Morris. Additionally, Mr. Horn worked as an in-house attorney for the Campbell Soup Company and Scott Paper Company. Mr. Horn received his A.B. degree from Duke University and his J.D. from Duke University School of Law.

Eileen Carlson

  • Senior Director of Strategy and Governance for Baxter Healthcare in the IT Department
Ms. Carlson joined Baxter Healthcare in 2013 to lead their Information Governance program which includes E-Discovery, Records Management (retention and disposal), Information Security, and Information Protection primarily for unstructured data. Her team has been focused on identifying data for defensible deletion. They have rolled out guidelines for Content Management Tools/Applications and Governing Internal Social Media. They are embarking on a framework for supporting the company splitting into two separate companies to help with the transfer of information. Prior to joining Baxter, Ms. Carlson was responsible for launching the U.S. Cellular® Data Governance initiative at the end of 2006. It began with the creation of policies and standards for reporting key company metrics. She facilitated the development of the corporate retention schedule along with the related communications and roll out. She was the owner of the Enterprise Data Warehouse, responsible for metadata, data quality, and role based access controls.

Hon. Paul W. Grimm

Paul W. Grimm serves as a District Judge for the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. He was appointed to the Court on December 10, 2012. Previously, he was appointed to the Court as a Magistrate Judge in February 1997 and served as Chief Magistrate Judge from 2006 through 2012. In September, 2009 he was appointed by the Chief Justice of the United States to serve as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.

Jason R. Baron

An internationally recognized speaker and author on the preservation of electronic documents, Jason previously served as Director of Litigation for the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration and as trial lawyer and senior counsel at the Department of Justice. In those roles, Jason helped drive the government's adoption of electronic recordkeeping practices and defended the government's interests in complex federal court litigation. As NARA's Director of Litigation, Jason led NARA's efforts to provide responsive White House email and other records in the massive U.S. v. Philip Morris RICO lawsuit, and assisted in the defense of lawsuits filed against the Archivist of the United States under the Freedom of Information Act, the Federal Records Act, and the Presidential Records Act in a wide variety of high-profile cases. As a trial lawyer and senior counsel for the DOJ, he appeared as counsel of record in landmark cases involving the preservation of White House email, statistical adjustment of the U.S. census, and early attempts to regulate the Internet.

Jerone English

Jerone English is the Director of the eDiscovery and Litigation Management Group at Intel Corporation where he establishes, implements, and manages Intel's eDiscovery policies and procedures. Prior to joining Intel, he was a partner in the Los Angeles office of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. Jerone has over 20 years experience in managing and litigating complex commercial disputes, primarily in the areas of antitrust and trade regulation, products liability, and commercial contracts. While at Pillsbury, he co-chaired the firm's national eDiscovery task force and its eDiscovery specialty team. He is the author of numerous articles on electronic discovery and lectures frequently on the topic. Before practicing law, Jerone served as an Electronic Warfare Systems Technician in the United States Air Force.

Julie Heller

Julie Heller is a Vice President in AIG's Legal Operations Center. As the Global Head of eDiscovery Programs, Ms. Heller leads a team in managing eDiscovery and other non-law firm vendors that support the company's legal processes. She provides consultative advice to AIG claims professionals as well as inside and outside counsel on topics ranging from data preservation and collection through document review, including TAR and advanced analytics, production and final data disposition. Ms. Heller also works closely with AIG's data collections and computer forensics team in support of the company's litigation and regulatory portfolio. She holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.S. from Columbia University.

Mike Klein

Mike Klein is Assistant General Counsel at Altria, where he supports the company's written and document discovery and is responsible for all eDiscovery matters. Mike received his bachelor's degree from the United States Military Academy at Westpoint and his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Scott Cohen

Scott Cohen is the Director of eDiscovery Support Services for Winston & Strawn LLP, where he is responsible for all aspects of the firm's litigation support technology, electronic discovery operations and document review center management. With a focus on electronic discovery, records management and litigation readiness, Scott advises firm lawyers and clients on a wide variety of technical issues relating to discovery in complex litigation. Prior to joining Winston & Strawn LLP, Scott was the Practice Support Director for Proskauer Rose, where he was responsible for the development and operation of the firm's practice support department, and also served as the Director of Information Technology for Metlife.
