My first programming experience was a bot to play my computer game at the age of 13. Most of the heavy lifting had already been done, I just had to fill in and tweak parameters, run and test. However, from age 15-18 it was mostly school and after-school work. It wasn't until I was in college that I had time and resources to get back to programming.
