Mākara Model School is a decile 10, full primary school catering for students from New Entrants to Year 8. Students come from around the Mākara district and Karori on our school bus... At Mākara Model School, we aim to develop the whole child, by catering to their social, emotional, physical as well as their academic needs. The children learn, play, and grow together. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, with our classes regularly working together on a wide range of exciting learning activities throughout the term. We embrace the principles of Tuakana-Teina and Āko, fostering a culture where older students guide and support younger ones, creating a two-way exchange of knowledge and learning.
