Daniel started at MTA as an MTA Intern from 2012 to 2013, and then became a Junior Associate in 2014. Then, from 2014 to 2015 he was working at the Posse Herrera Ruíz law firm where he served as Junior Associate to return to MTA in 2016 and hold the position of Associate focusing mainly on Sports Law matter.
During his time as an Associate. In 2019, he was appointed as Secretary General of the DIMAYOR where he was the leader of the legal area. In 2020, he was appointed as acting President of the institution, leading the renegotiations of the agreements with the licensee of the television rights of the competitions, the main sponsors and suppliers, within the framework of the effects of COVID-19.
Finally, in August 2021, Daniel is once again part of the MTA, occupying the position of Senior Associate, to work, first-hand, with the corporate and sports teams.

• Fiduandino S.A., Legal Representative, 1991-1992;
• Banco de Colombia S.A., Director of the Legal Division, 1986-1991;

After 20 years in the financial sector he joined Muñoz Tamayo & Asociados, where he has worked for more than 10 years.

Joe Bonilla is a successful story, an example of merit and dedication and also one of support and interest from MTA in the development of the career of its employees in the firm.
Joe Bonilla has worked in important businesses such as the establishment of the Marriot hotels in Colombia or the transfer of employees from Ecogas to TGI S.A ESP. His experience includes legal counsel to PDVSA, the Venezuelan oil company when it expanded its operations and was required to train employees in Colombia.
His special interest and passion for sports took him to be the co-author of the document that later became the Law 221 of 2005, which establishes the minimum parameters for the contracts between professional athletes and their sport clubs. Also, he has advised several international sport clubs that seek Colombian players.
He has been a consultant for national and international clubs, businessmen, players and directors in Colombia in soccer, sports and labor law matters, such as Azul & Blanco Millonarios F.C. S.A., América de Cali S.A., Club Deportivo Popular Junior F.C. S.A., Chelsea Football Club, Associação Chapecoense de Futebol, Santa Fé and the Atlanta Braves. Specifically, he supports the process of the linking of players to clubs, execution of sport transfer contracts, transfer of image and media rights, advertisement, and even the termination of the bond with players. Also, has been advisor in the execution of contracts for intermediation, collaboration, sports insurances, manage and exploitation of sports facilities.
Additionally, he makes the defense of the clubs and players in disciplinary proceedings in national and international tournaments and the procedures before the constitutional, labor, civil jurisdictions and arbitration in sports, labor and doping matters.
He has been a speaker in sport and labor law matters in Colombia and Chile, in some Colombian universities, such as Universidad de los Andes, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Universidad Sergio Arboleda and Pontifica Universidad Católica of Chile. In addition, he has been an author in different opinion columns referring to sports and labor law matters in publications such as El Tiempo, Portafolio, Ámbito Jurídico, El Deportivo among others.

Lorenzo is a Junior Associate for the Firm in the areas of Labor Law and Sports Law. He is a Lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and holds a Master's in International Sports Law from the Institute of Higher Education in Law and Economics ISDE) in Madrid, Spain. With over two and a half years of experience in the field of International Sports Law, Lorenzo has demonstrated his ability to excel in a complex and ever-evolving legal environment. Furthermore, his expertise extends to crucial areas of law, including commercial, corporate, insolvency, and labor law, providing him with a comprehensive perspective to address our clients' legal challenges. Lorenzo gained valuable knowledge in commercial, corporate, insolvency, and labor law during his tenure at Baker Tilly Colombia Legal Services. Additionally, in the area of sports law, Lorenzo also worked in the legal department of the Colombian Football Federation, serving as a Legal Assistant. As part of his sports law education, Lorenzo had the opportunity to intern at Cresta Law Firm in Brussels, Belgium.
