NESTR

Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, NESTR is a non-profit, privately-funded organization dedicated to supporting scientific and technical research throughout the United States. We were originally founded in 1974 by business executives from the automotive industry in response to the 1973 oil crisis. Initially the goal of NESTR was to spur development of a new, sustainable fuel source, but since then our scope has expanded dramatically. Today we invest nearly $42 million dollars a year to universities, organizations, and individuals, with the goal of encouraging further scientific and technological breakthroughs...
