THE SEWING MACHINE DOCTOR - Key Persons

Stephen Potts

Stephen Potts is The Sewing Machine Man When it comes to mastering the ins and outs of sewing machines, Stephen goes above and beyond to develop his skills. It all started in 1984 when he worked for a Singer service and repair agency in Wellington, New Zealand. During the next few years, he subcontracted for Janome, Baby Lock and Brother International, before moving to Brisbane in 1998. In 2001, he established The Sewing Machine Doctor. Stephen then travelled to Jonkopping in Sweden to the Husqvarna facility-the global home of Husqvarna, Viking and Pfaff. It was there he became a fully qualified Husqvarna Viking Master Service Technician. This is just one of the many reasons Stephen is one of the best in his industry. Stephen also gained his Restricted Electrical License (2005) and has completed a number of other local training courses and workshops to further feed his fascination. In 2007, Stephen moved The Sewing Machine Doctor to the Sunshine Coast, and extended his services to clients in Gympie and surrounds. His reputation for repairs, servicing and customer experience continues to grow from strength to strength. New to the team is Michael. He joins Stephen as a technical service and repair assistant and chief sewing machine ambulance driver. You'll meet Michael if you request our swift pick-up or delivery service.
