Alex is a recent addition to the team in the North, primarily working at the Innovation Centre in Hartlepool. Alex is experienced in customer service with previous roles in the public and private sectors

Amber joined UKSE in 2022 as an administrator and receptionist for the Yorkshire and Humber region. She is also involved with the daily running of the Innovation Centre.

Andrea joined UKSE in 2003 and having carried out a variety of roles within the team, is now the Senior Administrator in Cardiff. Andrea can be contacted on 02920 471122.
Diane joined UKSE after working for a former tenant that was based at the Innovation Centre for several years. She brings a wealth of experience from various sectors and is now involved in the day to day operations of the Kirkleatham centre.

Gail joined UKSE in 2017 and is the Senior Administrator at the Ebbw Vale Innovation Centre. Gail brings a wealth of experience in senior administration roles and can be contacted on 01495 356700.
Glyn has a long career of working with small businesses initially as a Business Bank Manager and then as a Business Adviser, before joining UKSE in 2008 as a Regional Investment Executive. Howard has worked with small businesses for the last 30 years, initially starting in banking sector and then moved into the business support arena as a Business Adviser and a Regional Business Manager. Ivy joined UKSE in 2020 starting as a receptionist / administrator in Sheffield Innovation Centre. Ivy is passionate about the environment and doing the right thing for our steel communities and has now taken on the role of ESG Co-Ordinator, based in Head Office, working alongside our ESG Lead on all aspects of our Environmental, Social and Governance work.

Jackie has worked with the company since 1987. She is our Scotland Senior Administrator and also looks after the day-to-day running of our Grovewood Business Centre.
Jake joined the Administration team in Cardiff in 2022 and has a wide range of experience in customer service roles. He supports the day to day running of the Business Centre.

Jayne joined UKSE in September 2001, originally as a member of the Head Office team, before moving to the regional office a few years later. In 2022 she was appointed as Senior Administrator.

Laura joined UKSE in February 2003. As Office Administrator she is responsible for the administration in Head Office. Laura keeps everything ticking with her coordination of office activities and operations to make sure everything is efficient, organised and in line with our company policies.
Matt Stewart - Chief Investment Officer

Matt was appointed as Investment Director in 2013 and is responsible for overseeing UKSE's investment activities. After working for our parent company as an accountant, he joined UKSE in 2003 and has many years of experience assisting businesses realise their growth potential.

Michael has a background in finance and technology. He qualified as an accountant in 2017 and went on to work in a start-up business. He then joined UKSE in 2020, where he works alongside Matt and Nick in the investment team in Head Office.
Michele joined UKSE in 2022 and is part of the Administration team at Grovewood Business Centre, where she is involved in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the site.

Nick qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and specialises in mergers and acquisitions, private equity investment and corporate banking transactions. Nick worked in private practice before joining UKSE in 2017 and is responsible for providing legal advice to UKSE on its equity and debt investments.
Paula is part of the Administration team at Hartlepool Innovation Centre. She has a wealth of experience from varied industries.

Pete joined UKSE in 2022 having previously worked in Corporate Finance, bringing a decade of experience advising business owners across all aspects of M&A and fundraising. He is responsible for the provision of debt and equity investments to SMEs within the Yorkshire and Humber Region.

Peter qualified as a Chartered Accountant with corporate finance experience and is also a former corporate bank manager. Peter works alongside Sarah in both property and finance matters across Tees Valley, Derwentside and West Cumbria.

Richard joined UKSE in 1995 as Company Accountant before becoming Finance Director and Company Secretary in 2008. Richard is responsible for all accounting matters together with any IT related issues.

Sarah has a background in business finance and portfolio management. Sarah is responsible for investment and property matters for the North of England.

Sharon joined UKSE in 2022 and is part of the administration team at the Kirkleatham Innovation Centre. Sharon is involved in all aspects of the day-to day running of the Centre and brings a wealth of customer service experience to the role.

Simon was appointed Managing Director in 2013. He brought wide experience in business banking and management to UKSE when he joined, and headed the UKSE teams in the North of England region and Scotland for several years. During that time, he oversaw both the investment and property functions, including the development of the two multi-million pound Innovation Centres on Teesside.

Steve started his working life at HSBC and has been looking after the funding needs of businesses across the Midlands for 30 years. Along the way he has been involved in running his own businesses, undertaken an MBO and also worked in corporate finance advisory.
