Gary Swart

Gary Swart is a Partner at Polaris Partners. He represents Polaris on the boards of Quantcast, SimplyInsured, FloQast, Falkonry, and Qstream. Gary was the CEO of oDesk, the world's largest online workplace with more than three million clients and twelve million freelancers. Prior to oDesk, Gary was the Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Intellibank, responsible for building the direct and indirect sales organization and channel development. Gary joined IBM through the acquisition of Rational Software where he ran Western Field Operations and held many other senior management positions, including Americas Medium Business Leader, Area Manager, District Manager, and Director of Telesales. Prior to Rational, Gary held many sales, management, and leadership positions with Pure Software, subsequently Pure-Atria, which previously merged with Rational. Gary serves as a thought leader on marketplaces, sales leadership, the future of work, how best to hire and manage teams, and on the rise of the "freelance economy."

Samir Majumdar - CEO, Founder

Samir is the Cofounder and CEO, and a Sales Insight Author for Veloxy. He has 25+ years of experience creating solutions for companies and has deployed Veloxy to Comcast, Shell Oil, Tommy Hilfiger and others. When Samir's not onboarding Fortune 500 sales teams, he's playing soccer or reading fantasy novels! Samir Majumdar has more than 20 years of engineering and engineering management experience working in high-growth technologies including SaaS, knowledge management and mobile application development. Before co-founding Veloxy, Samir served as vice president, software engineering and development, for Perceptimed. Prior to this, Samir worked at Ingenuity Systems (acquired by QIAGEN, April 2013), most recently serving as vice president of engineering. Samir was responsible for leading global teams, driving strategy and execution, focusing on "voice of customer," innovation and accelerated product development. He also spent considerable time working with the sales professionals, coming to understand many of their needs and KPIs. Prior to joining Ingenuity, Majumdar worked in various engineering positions at Varian Medical Systems, Cerner Corporation and the University of Manitoba at Winnipeg, Canada. He received a master's degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India; and has a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Manitoba, Winnepeg, Canada. Majumdar also holds a certificate in Executive Business Management from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
