FLIP

Our mission at FLIP is to provide families of Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, specifically children, with knowledge and appreciation for the history of Black people and how they have contributed to American history and influenced the world. We strive to empower children to be inquisitive, knowledgeable, compassionate, and active... Our vision for FLIP is to partner with students, parents, and the community who have a commitment to further their understanding and knowledge of the contributions of Black people to the world from past to present. We seek to narrow skills gaps that the public education school system has not fulfilled, by providing accurate and inspiring historical facts in fun and enlightening ways. We endeavor to accomplish our vision through student engagement, parental and community involvement, and hands-on experiences that foster positive relationships in a racially diverse society.
