I am a woman, a lifelong student, and a loyal friend. Each of those identity points are crucial to my personal life, and in large part, drive my professional career... I am a woman and a queer woman at that. As I have grown into my adulthood and embraced my position as a woman in our global society, I have had to confront some uncomfortable truths. The rules of our world have not been written fairly. Systemic inequality and discrimination against minority populations is something we all need to fight to dismantle and is central to everything I do... I am a lifelong student. I am always eager to learn and be challenged to improve. In my free time, I'm usually developing a hobby, watching documentaries, or reading about something new. Adding more tools to my toolbox and filling myself with diverse knowledge and perspectives. I like to surround myself with role models and dive into difficult conversations where old opinions are questions and new understandings are formulated.
