Barbara Joers became President and CEO of Gillette Children's in October 2013.
Joers previously served as Vice President at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, Chief Operating Officer at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., and Director of Transformation Management and Improvement at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was also a healthcare consultant with E&Y.
Joers completed her administrative residency at Howard County General Hospital, part of Johns Hopkins Medicine. She holds a master's degree in Health Services Management and Policy from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Among her volunteer and board memberships, she serves as an officer on the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Board of Trustees, a member of the Executive Committee of the Chloe Barnes Advisory Council on Rare Disease (Minnesota), and on the Child Health Patient Safety Organization board.
Joers is involved with Health Evolution as a Participating Fellow in a work group leveraging data to improve health equity, As well, she is active in collaborations with the International Hospital Federation and other notable organizations.
In 2021, Joers was named as a Most Admired CEO by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.

Micah Niermann, MD became Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in June 2019. He currently serves as Executive Vice President of Clinical Affairs at Gillette Children's.
Niermann previously served as Director of Medical-Surgical Services at Children's Minnesota and as the Medicine-Pediatrics Hospitalist Lead at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center and completed his Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at the University of Minnesota.
He completed his Executive Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree from the University of Minnesota.
Niermann serves on the Governor's Advisory Council on Climate Change.

Nolan previously served as Vice President of Finance at Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as well as Director of Finance at St. Luke's Hospital located in Duluth, Minnesota.
He received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and an undergraduate degree from Winona State University.
He currently serves as board vice chairman for Habitat for Humanity of Manitowoc County and board member of the YMCA, Manitowoc and Two Rivers in Wisconsin.

Paula Montgomery joined Gillette Children's in 2014 as general counsel. She is currently Executive Vice President of Administrative Affairs with leadership oversight of external and government affairs, human resources, legal services, marketing, quality and safety.
Montgomery is the former Vice President and Senior Corporate Counsel at US Bank and was an attorney with Bassford Remele, P.A.
She has a Juris Doctorate in Law from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a degree in Political Science, Sociology and Pre-Law.
Among her volunteer activities, Montgomery is a board member for Cancer Legal Care.

Stephen Bariteau joined Gillette Children's in December 2021 as the executive vice president of philanthropy. He serves as the chief development officer with leadership responsibilities for the organization's Foundation.
Bariteau was previously at Allina Health, where he served as president of its Foundation and vice president of strategic philanthropy.
His prior experience includes leadership roles at Courage Kenny Foundation, Riley Children's Foundation, and serving as a national fundraising consultant.
Bariteau earned his Business Administration degree from Houghton College. He's been active in the community, including serving as a board member of the Education Foundation of Bloomington and Rotary Club of Bloomington.

Thomas Harris, Jr., became Executive Vice President of Operations of Gillette Children's in 2021.
He previously served as Vice President of Pediatrics and led system-wide operations for Children's Health at Ochsner Health System in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Harris also served as Associate Vice President of pediatrics and Administrative Director at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA).
He received his Master of Health Administration degree from Tulane University and an undergraduate degree in Biology from Dillard University, both located in New Orleans.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
He has served on several nonprofit boards, including the New Orleans Command of the Salvation Army and the state board for March of Dimes.
