JENNY PINSKI

Jenny is a designer, researcher and Lecturer in Textiles, based at Loughborough University, UK. She is a member of the Textile Design Research Group and is currently writing up PhD research in the fields of woven textile and footwear design. She has an academic background in woven textile design and professional experience in the footwear industry and this informs her practice and research. During her career, Jenny worked for an international design-led footwear brand, beginning as a colour and material specialist before moving into design and development. This experience along with her extensive knowledge of woven textiles has led her to consider the potential of a hands-on textile approach to foster innovation in footwear and product design. Her practice-based research allows her to develop ideas through making, extending her knowledge and skills as a practitioner. She has exhibited and presented her work at both national and international conferences, events and exhibitions.
