Mpirik was founded by Dr. Navjot (Joe) Kohli to help his patients receive the best care based on all the data available. Shortly after completing his orthopedic surgery fellowship in 2008 and beginning his practice, Dr. Kohli noticed significant shortcomings in the way he practiced medicine - specifically around data collection and patient communication. He started building software to help address those shortcomings, and began using the product at his hospitals. Patients loved the communication. Dr. Kohli's patient satisfaction scores shot up.
