Dr Seetha Gopalakrishna

Dr Seetha was trained in psychiatry in CMC ,Vellore. and has about 18 years experience in both child psychiatry and adult psychiatry. She has worked in Australia and in India in child Psychiatry and is currently working in Adult Psychiatry in Australia. Dr Seetha is based in Tiruvannamalai in India and can speak Tamizh ,Kannada and Malayalam fluently and can manage someTelugu. Her special interests include Perinatal, Infant mental health, relevance of inter generational PTSD in the context of Indian marital dyad, family arrangements and domestic violence. Her general,interests are gadgets,books, Malayalam movies, Women, Children and Environmental health.

Dr Shilpa Terance

Dr Shilpa completed her MBBS at Fr Muller's Medical College in Mangalore and an MBA in hospital management at Anna University. Apart from that she holds a Diploma in maternal and child health and Post-Graduate certificate in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. She works as a consultant at ICC charitable hospital and at AJ Medical Centre in Coimbatore. Dr Shilpa also offers voluntary service as an honorary doctor at Don Bosco Anbu Illam for orphans and street children. She has experience in running health camps for children, lactation counselling and maternal and child health issues. Dr Shilpa was in the first cohort of PG-CAMH course and was a very enthusiastic participant. She is passionate about all things related to child and youth mental health, particularly parent education and counselling. She is a great organiser and team participant and has already organised and facilitated a summer camp at Pathways in May 2019 along with Mrs Srividhya. Dr Shilpa completed the facilitator training in Pathways to Effective Parenting (PEP) program in June this year. She enjoys organising events, writing poetry and trying her hands on international cuisines.

Dr Soumya Basu

Dr Soumya Basu is a child and adolescent psychiatrist working with Monash Health and has worked at Latrobe regional hospital as a consultant psychiatrist for the last 14 years and also works in private practice. He is well acknowledged in Gippsland area of Victoria for his expertise in child, adolescent and youth psychiatry. Dr Basu was trained in India and Australia and has more than 22 years of experience in the field. After completing DPM and MD in India he gained FRANZCP and Faculty membership in child and adolescent psychiatry in Australia. Dr Basu is a senior faculty member of the department of psychological medicine and is the coordinator of child and adolescent registrar training at Monash University. He has keen research interests in youth mental health, early intervention, developmental trauma, developmental disabilities, autism and psychosis and has presented a number of papers in national and international conferences. Dr Basu is fluent in Bengali, Hindi, Urdu and English.

Dr Tejas Golhar

Dr Usman Mohammed

Dr Usman is a senior Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist working with young people with disabilities such as Autism. He works for the Government of South Australia at the Women's and Children's Hospital, Adelaide. Dr Usman is the Secretary, SA Branch of the Faculty of the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrist. He is also Clinical Lecturer for the University of Adelaide, involved in teaching medical students and psychiatric trainees. He has published research papers and articles on child and adolescent mental health. Dr Usman is currently the lead psychiatrist for developing a model of service for young people with disabilities in the state of South Australia. Dr Usman holds membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK) and fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (Australia). He was the recipient of Connell Werry prize of RANZCP in 2010. He also served as the Assessor for the District Court of South Australia for the Guardianship and Administrative Act.

Mr N Senthil Kumar

Mr Senthil Kumar has been trained in family counseling, de-addiction and school mental health programs after completing his MA. He has nearly thirty years of experience working as a clinical psychologist. He has a wealth of experience in conducting various counseling programs including stress management program, school mental health program, pre-marital counseling program and de addiction programs. He has also taught counseling for social work students and others in different capacities. Mr Senthil Kumar is passionate about sharing his experience and has written thirty articles in the Tamil version of Herald of Health magazine and has recently published a book on Intellectual Disability (mental retardation) in Tamil.

Mrs Srividhya Narayanan

Mrs Srividhya is a counsellor, born and brought up in Coimbatore. After completing B.Com and MBA she was busy raising her son and supporting her entrepreneur husband. However, she recollects that while doing her MBA she was greatly drawn towards psychology, a subject in human resources management. She has been pursuing studies in psychology through Transactional Analysis since 2004. She has also completed certificates in basic counselling skills, child and adolescent mental health (PG-Cert-CAMH through Pathways) and Pathways to Effective Parenting Program. She is pursuing training in Gestalt therapy and NLP. Mrs Srividhya's association with Pathways Foundation Kovai began while doing her course in child and adolescent mental health. She gained immensely from this course taught by experts in various branches of mental health from India and Australia. She organised and facilitated the summer camp for children along with Dr Shilpa. Mrs Srividhya has now associated herself with all activities of Pathways and looks forward to creating greater awareness in child and adolescent mental health and promoting skills in managing these issues in the community. She is a self-taught portrait artist and an accomplished singer.

Ms Sridevi Bhavani

Ms Sridevi holds a postgraduate degree in general psychology and a postgraduate diploma in career guidance and counselling through Annamalai University. She brings a wealth of twenty-three years experience of working in Coimbatore Corporation Education Department. She is passionate about the environment and agriculture. In her spare time she has helped visually impaired students by reading out textbooks and writing in their notebooks and record notes for projects. She has joined hands with Pathways with a mission to make a difference in the lives of young people particularly students studying in government schools. She has currently enrolled to do a Masters in counseling and psychotherapy through Tamilnadu Open University.
