POOLS BY STURGEON STONE AND LANDSCAPE - Key Persons
Mike's wife, Angela, formerly of Franklin, IN, is the VP of Marketing and Business Manager taking care of the day-to-day administrative and operational responsibilities. With a background in executive administration and customer service, Angela is behind-the-scenes (and sometimes right in the middle of things!) helping to coordinate schedules, materials delivery, and communication efforts. She shares in Mike's goal to fully understand each clients' practical needs, as well as, wants and desires when creating backyard retreats.
As the owner and President of Pools By Sturgeon Stone and Landscape, Mike is very familiar with the Bloomington, IN, area. He attended Bloomington North high school and is a life-long resident. Mike is a 4th generation excavator with a love of landscaping. Building his own business while working as an X-ray tech for 13 years at Bloomington Hospital, Mike pursued and realized his dream to landscape full time in 1986. As a San Juan Pool installer, Mike is able to provide well-rounded and well-grounded insight into the overall scope of each project. He is involved in all stages of the process … design, project planning, and build/install.
Murray met Mike several years ago during his own home improvement project which included a natural stone wall, pavers, artificial turf installation, and the rehab of a totem pole. Murray was impressed with Mike's diverse range of skills and quality outcome that he has since taken on the role of Business Partner and Financial Advisor. As the VP of Finance, Murray insures the long-term viability of Pools by Sturgeon Stone and Landscape, sharing his knowledge as a CPA and years of experience at the corporate helm of major operations on Wall Street, the cotton fields of Georgia and Coca-Cola (just to name a few).
Service Tech, Nick Geiger, comes from a commercial pool background with ample mechanical aptitude. He's responsible for training our clients in water chemistry and the care and maintenance of their new pool and equipment.
