Al Chetwode

Al has dedicated his entire career to working in early and mid-stage software and tech companies. He's an experienced software company CEO, with a proven track record of investing in, and growing, technology businesses. His particular strength is identifying what's missing to take a software business through the stages of growth, and positioning them for sale. Al was a Founder-Director of Rave Technologies, which sold to its largest client in 2002. Since then he has bought out, invested and successfully exited three further software companies.

Bill Cunningham - CEO, Founder

Bill has worked in tax efficient investing for the last 20 years. First managing VCTs, then exclusively using EIS tax breaks. He has a successful 12-year track record investing and placing over £150m in quoted and unquoted EIS-qualifying growth companies, for Endeavour Ventures. Alongside this role, Bill is an active portfolio company director, holding non-exec board positions with Gazeal, R5FX, The Grays Group,and Omeira Studio Partners.

Brendan Cluff

Brendan has spent over a decade as a financial advisor, working with both High Net Worth Investors and corporates. He joined Endeavour in 2010, where he's played a key role investing in and supporting a range of unquoted companies. Prior to Endeavour, he was Director of Earlmont Strategic - a financial planning firm that grew out of Brendan's HNW tax advisory service.

Dennis Hallahane

After a degree in Economics from Queen's University, Belfast, eight years at Ford Motor Company, and four at Plessey, Dennis became Senior Investment Manager with the Commonwealth Development Finance Company. He then co-founded a venture capital fund with Standard Chartered Merchant Bank as the institutional partner in the fund management company and as investor in the Fund. While a director of several investee companies, he founded World Class Learning Schools, led its expansion and exited eight years later making his investors a double-digit return. Dennis has extensive knowledge of investing in early-stage companies across many industries, practical experience of starting companies and building them to exit, and has held in excess of 60 Non-Executive Board positions in a wide range of industries in over a dozen countries. Before joining Endeavour he was a Non-Exec Advisor to Downing VCT.

Dr Richard Hargreaves - Founder

Richard has been investing and advising SMEs for over 30 years. Richard was at 3i, and later he launched one of the first VCTs - Baronsmead VCT, which he sold to Friends Ivory & Sime in 1995 (later ISIS Equity Partners). Richard has served as Chairman of British Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (BVCA), alongside a string of Non-Executive directorships on both public and private boards. His last book, Business Angel Investing encapsulates his experience of angel investing in smaller growth companies.

Jack Sheehan

Jack started his career as a proprietary equity trader through Fortis Bank's prime brokerage facility where he implemented quantitative investment strategies. As an equity analyst he provided pan-European investment ideas to leading hedge funds and Tier 1 investment banks. Jack has been an independent advisor to both early-stage and listed companies helping them to successfully raise capital and deliver shareholder value.

Magnus Macintyre - Chairman

Magnus is a serial entrepreneur and investor in fast-growing companies. He has a broad and deep knowledge of the business world, having run a publishing company, an early dotcom, New Statesman magazine, a film and TV company and a renewable energy business. He is a published novelist, and founder of a strategic brand and marketing consultancy. Magnus brings an entrepreneurial perspective to the Endeavour team, drawing on his experience of operations, marketing and team-building, to aid the investment process. Magnus has invested through Endeavour Ventures since 2008.

Mark Bunting

Mark brings over three decades of experience in business planning, financial modelling and management information systems to bare at Endeavour. Starting his career at Lloyds Bank International in Paris, Mark has been a private client fund manager with Greig Middleton, Cazenove Capital Management and the Dalton Strategic Partnership. Over the past six years, Mark has been raising money for, and advising, small business owners, particularly in the tech sector.

Peter Kirby - CFO

Peter oversees financial control, administration, regulation and compliance at Endeavour. His multi-decade career has seen him work at multinational giants such as Shell, Gold Fields, Deloitte Haskins & Sells (Deloitte) and a major Lloyds Reinsurance broker. He has latterly moved his attention to help growing smaller cap companies in consultancy roles.

Robert Jeens

Robert is an experienced growth company investor who has invested in Endeavour deals since 2008 - successfully exiting on several occasions. He is a Non-Executive of the Chrysalis VCT, Chairman of Allianz Technology Trust and Remote Media Group, and a Non-Executive Director of JPMorgan Russian Securities. Previously, Robert was Chairman of nCipher and Non-Executive Director of Henderson Group, TR European Growth Trust and Dialight. He was also a partner in Touche Ross & Co (now Deloitte) and finance director of Kleinwort Benson Group and Woolwich. Rob was also an investor in Prot-x, which became SagePay, and Blue Prism Group.

Russell Duckworth

Russell has over 30 years experience in finance. He holds a BSc in Economics from City University and is qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC. After PwC, Russell worked in S.G. Warburg's Corporate Finance division in 1987, and spent five years advising companies in the UK, Europe and the US. Russell joined Deutsche Bank and started in 1995 as an Equity Analyst in the European markets. In 1997 he was promoted to Head of European Research and then Head of Global Equity Research in 2000. During this period Russell also served on the Global Equity Operating committee, as Deutsche emerged as a top 3 player in Global Equities. In 2006 he founded Hawkwood Capital, which is authorised by the FCA in the UK. He has spent the last decade investing in and advising small companies in the UK.

Tessa Laws

Tessa provides hands-on commercial legal advice and guidance to Endeavour Ventures. An advisor since our inception, Tessa is a qualified lawyer, with 17 years' City legal experience, working on flotations, investments and mergers around the world. Tessa's more recent area of focus is around renewable energy and media, advising management teams on share sales and acquisitions; public companies on their mergers; investment vehicles on their investments; and individuals on their business structure.
