Alistair Davies

  • Director / Principal Solicitor
Qualified in 1988, Alistair has over 35 years direct litigation experience based principally in Manchester, Preston and now Liverpool he has litigated cases across the Country. Alistair has practiced in several areas of law (contentious and non-contentious) mainly personal injury and in recent years has developed a practice in financial mis-selling litigation. In a past life Alistair was a keen cricketer, now he manages the occasional round of golf. He is a lifelong supporter of Blackburn Rovers, and Lancashire Cricket club; and enjoys watching many sports. With two daughters who danced from an early age Alistair has watched more shows - amateur and professional - than is good for anyone, and considers himself an expert critic though definitely not a performer

Cieron Byrne

A newly qualified solicitor of 4 months, Cieron has been with BPS as a trainee since its inception. Throughout his training contract seats, Cieron gained experience in personal injury including road traffic accidents, public liability, employers liability and occupiers liability during which he was able to represent clients at Court. He also gained experience in contract disputes as well as housing law. Cieron is now using his experience and knowledge of housing law as he has taken up his permanent role of solicitor in our Housing Disrepair department. A relatable and grounded individual, he fights daily for the best interests of his clients and finds working with social housing tenants to be very rewarding. He has high ambitions for the firm and his career as a housing lawyer. Away from work, Cieron is a keen historian and enjoys reading books on medieval Europe, Egyptology and British history as well as maintaining his interests in academic law and maritime law. He loves food and is always looking for new restaurants to try across the country to experience new and local cuisines. In order to counter-balance all the calories of being a food freak, Cieron also plays multiple sports including football, badminton, squash and swimming. A big Evertonian, he also enjoys attending Goodison Park to watch the blues play.

Marc Manford

Marc joined BPS Solicitors in November 2023 and heads up our new Private Client department at our offices in Liverpool.

Peter Dodd

Job Titles:
  • Solicitor - Head of Housing Disrepair Department
Peter is a Solicitor who has worked the legal profession since 1997. He is experienced in all areas of high value personal injury cases. He is an experienced litigator and advocate having regularly represented his Clients at Court over the years. Peter has real passion for helping vulnerable people and now practices exclusively in Landlord and Tenant Law, particularly Housing Disrepair claims on behalf of social housing tenants. In his spare time Peter enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid follower of Everton Football Club and travels to watch them play them home and away and (far too infrequently) across Europe. In 2015 Peter was elected by Everton supporters to represent them on the Fans Forum, a body made up of supporters, who meet with the clubs hierarchy on a monthly basis to discuss fan and club related issues. He enjoys watching and playing most sports. He is a licenced FA coach and coaches a junior football team. He is also a British Fencing Association qualified fencer. Peter enjoys traveling, film, quizzes (and has appeared on ITV's ‘The Chase') and can speak Italian.
