Chief Operations Officer Report: Barb Cederberg noted the GSOC Strategic Plan continues to drive activities both within and outside the notification center. In general, the call center is operating very well and early ticket volume for the first 3 months of the year is up 23%. Chief Operations Officer Report: Barb Cederberg gave a brief summary of the 2020 excavation season. There were over 941,000 tickets, a new GSOC record. This was an approximately 10.9% increase. Chief Operations Officer Report: Barb Cederberg noted Homeowner tickets have increased up to 16% of the total ticket volume, probably due to more do it yourself projects being done as a result of the pandemic. Online ticket submission by homeowners has dramatically increased to approximately 70% of the homeowner volume. Chief Operations Officer Report: Barb Cederberg advised the Board that 2019 ticket volume was 849,097. This is the second highest ticket count in the history of GSOC. There were approximately 100,000 update tickets including in this volume.

Barbara Cederberg provided a brief update. Several promotions are pending at the notification center. The underground mapping project team subgroups are active and are working on best practices for maintaining and sharing GIS data. The Board was reminded that the MnOPS conference will be virtual this year on April 16. Chief Operations Officer Report: Barbara Cederberg reviewed 2020 ticket volumes. Through October tickets are up 8.8% YTD with online submission up to 82.9%. The new user interface has been widely accepted with few still using the legacy interface. Will begin with familiarizing herself with call center operations, then plans to meet with board members individually to work on stakeholder engagement and the recent law changes. COO Report: Kelly Connolly plans for the January session to focus on strategic planning, specifically the communications and marketing plan. GSOC will begin paid social media marketing beginning in February. Discussion of rejecting tickets that appear to trying to skirt the meet documentation requirements. Kelly and Olivia will be revising media messaging and define metrics for evaluating media use.
