Art Metrano

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Arthur "Art" Metrano (born September 22, 1936) is an American actor and comedian, born in Brooklyn, New York City. Metrano may be best known for his role as Lt./Capt./Cmdt. Mauser in Police Academy 2 and Police Academy 3. Metrano's first film role was as a truck driver in the 1961 Cold War thriller Rocket Attack U.S.A.. Among Metrano's TV guest appearances was a 1968 episode of Ironside. However, he is better known for his frequent appearances on talk and variety shows in the early 1970s, especially The Tonight Show, as a "magician" performing absurd tricks, such as making his fingers "jump" from one hand to another, while constantly humming an inane theme song - "Fine and Dandy", an early 1930s composition by Kay Swift. In December 2007, Metrano filed a lawsuit against Family Guy, asserting copyright infringement, and asking for damages in excess of two million dollars. Due to a fall at home in 1989, Metrano seriously injured his spinal cord and is disabled. Currently, he tours with his one-man show, "Jews Don't Belong On Ladders...An Accidental Comedy", which has raised more than $75,000 for Project Support for Spinal Cord Injury, to help buy crutches, wheelchairs, and supplies for handicapped people. Arthur Hindle

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Arthur Hindle (born July 21, 1948) is a Canadian actor and director. Hindle was born in Halifax. His family moved to Toronto while he was a child. Although shy as a youngster, he grew to be a rebellious and independent teenager. This led him to travel, mostly via hitchhiking, while picking up odd jobs and meeting people from varied walks of life. By the time he was 21, he was a father, a stockbroker and an amateur photographer. Although fairly successful as a broker, he was unfulfilled and eventually, after being inspired and touched by a Toronto Workshop Productions play, he made the commitment to leave the stock market for the theatre. He worked for a few months with TWP and got an acting agent, which led to started auditioning for commercials. It was at this time that Hindle credits a discovery that changed his future. He was directed to the Eli Rill workshop. Eli Rill had moved to Toronto from New York, where he taught at the Actor's Studio. At this workshop, Hindle studied Method. He thrived in this environment and soon started applying his knowledge to getting acting jobs. Further inspiration for becoming an actor was his uncle, Michael Kane, with whom Art finally had the opportunity to work in the film "The Gunfighters". He has made guest appearances in a long list of television programs in North America, and has also appeared in several movies, dating from 1971. His first major role was in a biker movie, "The Proud Rider", spawned by the popularity of Easy Rider. Hindle worked with a real motorcycle gang, Satan's Choice. It... was during the making of this rather bad movie that Art almost changed his professional name to Jeremy Kane. The producers thought that Hindle should have a more showbiz-sounding name. He chose Jeremy Kane (Kane in honor of his uncle), and even though he reverted to his birth name due to urging from his uncle, his "Jeremy Kane" pseudonym is still connected to the film. The next big step was being cast as Billy Duke, the best hockey player in the world, drafted by the Maple Leafs to lead them back to the playoffs in the film "Face-Off", Canada's first million-dollar movie. This film led to offers from Hollywood which he resisted until work dried up and Hindle - who had four children by this time - finally moved to Los Angeles. Over the years, Art has come to be known as a "working actor" involved as a leading actor in some classic films and numerous pilots and series. His work in E.N.G., one of Canada's most successful series, won him a Gemini. From the early 1990s, Art has also worked as a director. Hindle is married and divides his time between California and Canada. He currently stars in and directs the popular series Paradise Falls showing on cable stations in the USA and on the Showcase channel in Canada. Branscombe Richmond

Highly recognizable Native American actor, stuntman and singer who is equally capable of portraying cold-hearted villains on the one hand and warm-hearted, open "good guys" on the other, as evidenced by his huge grin and hearty laugh. The solidly built 6' 3" Richmond has regularly played the bad guy on-screen. He's been on the receiving end of the fists of Arnold Schwarzenegger in Commando (1985), gotten pummeled by Carl Weathers in Action Jackson (1988) and tangled with Steven Seagal in Hard to Kill (1990). Richmond is the son of movie stuntman Leo C. Richmond and first broke into film and TV in the early 1970s with minor roles in shows such as "The Bionic Woman" (1976), "The Rockford Files" (1974) and "Magnum, P.I." (1980). From there he quickly picked up work in numerous made-for-TV movies and was kept busy throughout the 1980s and 1990s with appearances in such A-grade productions as Licence to Kill (1989), Best Seller (1987) and Batman Returns (1992). He even found himself in the children's film Curly Sue (1991). In early 1991 Richmond scored the key role of "Bobby Six Killer" in the bounty hunter-themed TV series "Renegade" (1992) starring alongside Lorenzo Lamas and Kathleen Kinmont. The series was quite successful and ran from 1992 to 1997, turning out over 100 episodes! Additionally, Richmond has starred in plenty of B-movie action films and has become quite a cult figure of the genre. Since the late 1990s, Richmond has remained busy on several fronts. He's continued acting in Hollywood, is the official spokesman for Indian Motorcycles and is the lead singer for th...e band "Branscombe Richmond and the Renegade Posse". Erin Gray

The very beautiful and talented model, actress, and author Erin Gray was one of the first models to successfully crossover into television. She is best known as "Kate Summers" on the highly watched TV show "Silver Spoons" (1982), and "Colonel Wilma Deering" on the TV show "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" (1979). Many women admired her commanding role as Col Deering, while many men admired her beautiful looks and sexy figure. Erin Gray was born on January 7, 1950 in Honolulu. Gray moved with her family from Hawaii to California when she was eight years old and graduated from Pacific Palisades High School. She was fifteen when a chance meeting with Nina Blanchard, head of one of Hollywood's top model agencies, convinced her what she wanted to do in life. Moving to New York, she became one of the town's most sought-after models, in elite company with Farrah Fawcett, Veronica Hamel and Susan Blakely. TV viewers encountered her commercials for Breck, Max Factor, Clairol, Camay Soap and RC Cola, and a classic spot--for English Leather cologne--in which she provocatively declared, "My men wear English Leather--or they wear nothing at all!" Between modeling assignments, she studied acting with well-known coach Warren Robertson and, when movie-TV offers came in, she was ready. Universal was impressed by her performances on such series as "Police Story" (1973) and "Gibbsville" (1976) and signed her to a seven-year contract. Under that pact, the studio co-starred her as a tough-minded newspaper reporter in Irwin Shaw's Evening in Byzantium (1978) (TV). Her performance scored with bot...h critics and audiences, and led directly to the role in "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" (1979). As a result, she has become a regular commuter between Hollywood and New York, the hub of the magazine and fashion world. more

Kim Walker

Known for her supporting roles, Kim Walker was an up and coming young actress in Hollywood before retiring from the business in the late 1990s. As a teen she landed a few guest roles in series such as "Matlock" (1986) and "Highway to Heaven" (1984) before moving on to supporting roles in feature films such as Say Anything... (1989) and several made-for-television films. However, Kim Walker will forever be remembered for her role as Heather Chandler in the now cult-classic Heathers (1988) which starred a young Winona Ryder in her first starring role. The role, which had Kim playing possibly the nastiest, most difficult teenager in the history of film won her acclaim and a legion of fans due to her legendary lines and her on-screen persona in this black comedy about high school life. With such lines as "You're such a pillowcase!", and "Did you eat a brain tumor for breakfast?", Walker was a scene stealer during the first half of the film. While later roles did not match the stardom attained in "Heathers," Walker's acting career continued in the form of supporting roles. IMDb Mini Biography By: Luis32789@aol.com

Paul Anthony

Paul Anthony is the inaugural recipient of the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame for most promising newcomer and has been lauded by both the Vancouver Sun and the Georgia Straight as the up-and-comer to watch. His acting career finds its roots in theatre, having performed all over the country with such respected companies as The Vancouver Playhouse, The Arts Club, Prairie Theatre Exchange, The Belfry Theatre and MTYP. He has also received rave reviews for his own projects, such as "The Death of Comedy" (Co-created with writer Devin McCracken) and his scientific experiments called "The Drunk Improv", which have both gone on to become underground cult hits. His comedy/audio art album "Wordcore", released in 1998, was named "one of the best independent releases of the century" by Discorder Magazine and CITR radio. Paul has studied this art form in and out of the classroom his whole life, participating in countless workshops and staging his own social experiments when he was as young as 8 years old. In 2001 he graduated from Studio 58, considered one of the finest acting programs in North America. 2006 marked the release of "Eighteen'. This bristling and provocative indie, stars Paul as a traumatized runaway opposite Alan Cumming and Carly Pope. He has also been noted for his performance in the Emmy winning mini series "Traffic", the adaptation of Irvine Welsh's "Bad Blood" and Guy Maddin's "Hands of Ida".
