Guoyi Yu

Guoyi Yu leads PCC's Duvernay, oil sands and pipeline business unit focusing on production and operations, long term development and profitability, and research and technology. He holds a PhD from the Research Institution of Petroleum Exploration and Development (RIPED) and a Master's Degree from China University of Petroleum, both in Oil & Gas Development. He has over 30 years of production and development experience in the oil and gas industry.

Longming Yang

Job Titles:

Mr. Yang has more than 30 years of experience in the petroleum industry. He joined PCC in December 2020 as General Manager of the Groundbirch asset. Before joining PCC, he served for CNPC International Ltd as Deputy Director for the Asia Pacific-Latin America and Central Asia-Russia Region, and Middle East Region Deputy Manager for the Business Development Division from 2013 through 2020. Mr. Yang also served as Vice President and General Manager of the A&S division of the South Pars Phase 11 Project under CNPC International Ltd. from 2010-2013. Previously, he held various engineering and leadership roles in Sudan and China for CNPC and CNPC International Ltd. Mr. Yang holds a Master's Degree of Business Administration (Distinction) from the University of Sheffield and a BEg in English for Science & Technology from the Shanghai University of Mechanical Engineering.

Murray Casault

Murray Casault has more than 25 years' experience working in the energy industry. As Vice President of Technical Support, he oversees HSSE and Risk Management, Engineering & Construction, and Regulatory Affairs & Stakeholder Relations. Prior to joining PetroChina Canada in 2011 as operations manager for the Heavy Oil Assets (MacKay River and Dover North Commercial projects), Casault spent 18 years at Shell Canada in a variety of leadership positions spanning oil sands and unconventional sour gas assets. Casault graduated from Mount Royal University's Business Administration - Management program and Southern Alberta Institute of Technology's Power Engineering Technology program.

Qiang Luo

Qiang Luo, PCC's Vice President Finance, has been working with China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and its affiliates since 1998. His most recent roles were as Managing Director of CNPC Exploration & Development Company (CNODC) Management B.V. in Amsterdam and Finance Director of CNODC in Beijing. Mr. Luo held the role of PCC's Vice President Finance from 2015 through 2019. Previous to 2015, Mr. Luo served as Chief Financial Officer for China Petroleum Engineering Construction Corporation and Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline Company Limited ventures in Venezuela, Sudan, Algeria and Uzbekistan. He has a Master of Business Administration degree from Tsinghua University, and a Bachelor of Economics with a Major in International Finance from the Central University of Finance and Economics.

Xinyu Li

Xinyu Li joined PetroChina Canada (PCC) in 2018 as Corporate Secretary and Director of Legal. Li has worked for China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) for 25 years. Xinyu Li joined PetroChina Canada in December 2018 as Corporate Secretary and Director of Legal. Li started his career with China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) in 1993 as Corporate Lawyer shortly after graduation. Over the past 25 years, he has been working for CNPC's overseas subsidiaries in various locations and responsible for legal consulting and managing in-house legal departments. Li holds a Bachelor of Law from Northwest University in the Shanxi Province of China.

Zhiyong Liu - CEO, President

As President and CEO of PetroChina Canada, Zhiyong Liu is responsible for leading the company's strategic, financial and operational performance. Liu has more than 34 years' experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to being named as President and CEO of PetroChina Canada, he served as CNPC's South Sudan Country Manager and Senior VP of CNPC International (Nile) Ltd. During his more than 20 years in CNPC overseas subsidiaries, he served in roles including Deputy Chief Accountant and Financial Assets Manager of CNPC International (Nile) Ltd., President of Petrodar Operating Company Ltd., and President of Petro-Energy E&P Co., Ltd. In these roles he formulated overarching goals and strategies for CNPC in the countries he worked in as well as for each asset, managed corporate strategic planning and budget, oversaw construction and production, and developed financial strategies and financial reporting systems, among other duties. Liu holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas.
