RORY DUTHIE

I am a Post-Doc in the Laboratory of The New Ethos, at Warsaw University of Technology. I have a background in applied computing and have research interests in data annotation and evaluation, natural language processing, machine learning, data analytics and data visualisation. I have previous post-doctoral experience working as a Research Data Scientist at HSBC using machine learning to detect financial crime, and as a Post-doctoral research assistant working on a DSTL funded project in intelligence analysis at the Centre for Argument Technology, University of Dundee... I am working on the Volkswagen funded Deliberation Laboratory project which aims to create a virtual agent tasked at reducing online abuse... Currently working on the creation of tools to improve the intelligence analysis process as part of a project with DSTL. These tools work to allow the easy navigation, extraction, and display of arguments, as well as the automatic extraction of arguments from natural language..
