The Special Interest Group (SIG) on the History of Speech Communication Sciences is a group of academics organised via an e-mail list. The SIG is supported by ISCA (International Speech Communication Association) and IPA (International Phonetic Association). The board of the SIG consists of its President, its Secretary and a Liaison Officer. The main purpose of the SIG is to take care for the organisation of specialised workshops on the History of Speech Communication Research (HSCR) and special sessions at larger events such as the International Congress of Phonetic Sciences.
