Dato' Mashal has 28 years hands-on experience in the Chemical, Liquefied Natural Gas, Petroleum Refinery and Polymer industries. Dato' Mashal has worked with International companies such as ICI (UK-based), Eastman Chemicals (USA-based), as well as Petronas MLNG Bintulu and Petronas Refinery Kerteh where he developed broad foreign corporate governance experience.
As Managing Director for Eastman Chemicals in Gebeng, Kuantan, Dato' was instrumental in turning around the company to be the leading subsidiary in the Eastman group of companies.
Dato' Mashal continues to be involved in community programs, the academic arena, and is still an active member of the Petronas Technology University as a member of the Research Council Dato' graduated with a Bachelor of Science Production Engineering from Nottingham Trent University.
A Dutch National and seasoned engineer having 35 years experience in O&G industry with Shell in various international roles. Has been the GM for Rotating Equipment Services in the East from 2007 till 2015. His last role with Shell was the Discipline Capability Manager and Global Lead for the SmartConnect Portfolio.
