Kim Buckley has driven a school bus for Los Angeles Unified School District for over twenty-five years. She is the single Mom of an amazing daughter. Her daughter is now twenty years old and part of a campus ministry, reaching out to other students and studying the Bible with them. Although a single Mom, Kim will admit, she was not alone in raising such a lady. As continually said, "It takes a village to raise a child," that is just what she had, an incredible village of disciples in the Turning Point LA (turningpointla.com) ministry, along with Kim's best friend Carolina Beal and her husband Richard Beal; all with God as the head and Jesus as the foundation. During the twenty-five years as a school bus driver, Kim dabbled in Real Estate as an invester. On a part time salary, she was able to put her money, time and effort, with her friends Carol and Richard Beal, and bought and sold income property. Kim spent many nights and weekends getting her hands dirty: knocking down walls, plastering, laying tiles, and refurbishing properties. Many years of hard labor passed, then, finally, she was able to put a large amount of money down on her dream house for her and her daughter. At that time she was promoted to a full time position as a transportation router. Only a short time of owning the property came and went before she realized she was misled, misinformed and she herself had made some poor choices. After four years of struggling with the aftermath of these mistakes, Kim lost everything she had worked for. Even the full time position she held with the school district was cut; so she had to go back to a part time position driving the bus. The devastation of it all left Kim dismayed and hopeless. Until, one day, a friend called and told her to set up an appointment to meet with Houman, a Real Estate Broker, which changed everything. Houman had just opened up his Real Estate firm a few weeks before. She sat down with Houman and was amazed at his heart for people. She listened as his passion shined through his words. Houman talked about hiring people who cared about others, how he wants to teach his agents to care about their clients first and foremost. She was encouraged that a young twenty-six year old successful businessman got great pleasure in helping people. His goal is to build a community of people who has integrity when are loyal and honest in every transaction. Kim believes that the success of her daughter came from the community of believers who helped raise her. So after meeting with Houman, Kim knew that she wanted to be with a team of trailblazers who are going to lead the way in the Real Estate Industry.
