Edward van Kersbergen - Founder

Edward van Kersbergen (1964) is co-founder and a Managing Director of Sunrise. He recently founded serves as majority shareholder and Chairman of oil and gas exploration and production company Mazarine Energy B.V. Mr. van Kersbergen holds an MSc in Technical Physics from Delft University of Technology, Netherlands in 1988. He enjoys running, playing the piano and spending time in the Swiss Alps.

Herman Swagemakers

Herman Swagemakers is chairman of the advisory board of Sunrise Energy. Herman held various posts in the financial sector, notably at ABN AMRO Bank (1978 - 2004), as Senior Vice-President for the Business and Diplomat sector for the Hague (1990s) followed by a posting in Luxembourg with Europe-wide responsibility for high net worth individuals. An experienced and trusted adviser to both individuals and businesses, Herman has experience in wealth management and has worked with several Dutch businesses including an oil shipping company. Herman Swagemakers is married with three children, and enjoys sailing and outdoor activities

Stephane Constant - Founder, Managing Director

Stephane Constant (1968) is a co-founder and a Managing Director of Sunrise. Prior to founding The Sunrise Energy Group he started his career with ELF (now TOTAL) in 1991 as a reservoir engineer responsible for various UK operated assets. He also worked for AGIP in Aberdeen from 1996 to 1997 as a Senior Reservoir Engineer supporting UK non-operated, exploration and D&A activities. In 1998 he joined Premier Oil in Singapore as the Lead Reservoir Engineer for the Yetagun field, offshore Myanmar through RDS-Resource of Aberdeen. After a spell consulting and developing reservoir evaluation software he was co-founder and Technical Director of subsurface consultancy Horizon Energy Partners in 2001. When sold to SGS in 2008, the company employed 100 staff and associates with offices in The Hague, Aberdeen, Abuja and Kuala Lumpur. In 2006 he founded Oyster Energy, a co-investment company for gas assets in the Dutch sector of the North Sea. This venture was sold to Elko Energy in 2009. He holds an Engineering Diploma from Ecole Centrale de Lyon (France 1990) and a Petroleum Engineering Diploma from IFP Ecole du Petrole et des Moteurs (France 1991). Mr Constant co-founded Sunrise in 2011 and is an active member of the Sunrise Advisory team. He serves on the board of directors of Xodus Group. After work he enjoys running, playing tennis and golf in the South West of France.
